I have no problem with it. Win out and we're in. Lose and we're not.

No prob with the rankings, tho it was eye opening to see the gap between Oregon and Arizona.

ND fans gotta be pissed tho

This thread will be fun to bump when SEC teams are 5 and 6 after Dec 7. I wonder how awesome the committee is gonna be then.

Head to head is only ONE of the criteria, not the only one, that's why Oregon is ahead of Arizona.

Why Oregon gets a pass compared to everyone else is such a head scratcher.

By far the worst loss, and the only one at home. And we forgive it because they had some linemen out? LOL. And a much lower SOS than everyone else.

No they didn't. These 12 sob's are ignorant fools. Oregon has a SOS of 29 Bama a SOS of 6 so they got that wring. Ole Miss is a crap team. Florida St. SOS is bad plus they have looked horrible. This is what you get when you put 12 people in a room with agendas and basically no criteria. But then again I knew these azzOs were going to be biased in their opinions instead of naming the four best teams TCU belongs above Oregon.

The SEC is going to cannibalize itself. The SEC will most likely get 1 team in, it's no biggie.

B. OM has a SOS of 3
C. OM has direct win over Bama
D. Suck my penis

All 3 SEC squads are in the same situation. Except for the SEC championship game. Only 2 can say that.

It looks like losses don't matter nearly as much as who've you beaten. Hence Oregon at 5 (beat Sparty). Ole Miss at 4 (beat Alabama). Notre Dame at 10 (beat who?).

I like it.

I think a one loss West team gets in if State goes undefeated and wins the SECCG. I think these ranking bear that out. Any two loss SEC West team is out, and they should be...........unless that team wins the SECCG. As of right now, to date, with the resumes, the committee nailed it.

Hard to argue with the first rankings.

This weekend is an elimination game for the SECW. One of the top four in the playoff will drop out. As a Bama fan, it's a win-win situation. Auburn wins and we control our destiny. OM wins and, well, frick auburn.

The idea that Alabama or any SEC team is in if you win out is not necessarily true. You could win out and still not make the SEC championship due to your loss to Ole Miss. Other teams that play in and win championship games could and probably would jump over you while you were sitting at home

Where's the black helicopter crowd that was convinced that there would be an ant-SEC bias, that there's no way we would get two in, etc., etc?

And remember...when Manning went out, we lost an SEC homer off the committee.

With 4 of the top 6, it guarantees a few things. Alabama will be in the playoffs if they win out even if Ole Miss also wins out. Auburn will be in if they win out and Miss State also wins out. In fact, it's going to be very difficult for the SEC to NOT get two teams in.

If Alabama wins out, they will have beaten two of the top four teams. Take a good look at where the Big 10 and the Pac 10 teams are. The committee just told you that those two conference championship games probably won't mean shite, compared playing MSU and Auburn. Try to pay attention, ok?

Unless a scenario like this plays out.

The interesting scenario would be Ole Miss winning out and finish 11-1, UA finish 11-1, AU finish 9-3 with a win over UGA which would probably drop a 2 loss UGA to maybe around 15 or 16. We would probably be sitting at 3 while watching #2 Ole Miss play #15 UGA. UGA wins the SEC but with 2 losses maybe finish around 8-10. UA now #2 in the poll goes to playoff as only SEC team and the SEC Champ does not.
