uga would never come to clemson which has alot to do with that record. lol

talking about games pre 1906 is jumping the shark lol

From 1974 to 1990, Clemson was 7-7-1 against UGA.

And it wasn't even a Smart-coached team that ran them out of the stadium, either.

College football's toughest places to play in 2019...…......
quote:

3. TIGER STADIUM (LSU)
In the 1st and 2nd quarter of an SEC game at night if the Tigers have a lead.

Widespread LSU Alum/Die-Hard/Fan dissatisfaction with Joe Alleva's game day and in game policies have run off a lot of fans.

Many have dropped their season tickets, but they've picked up by corporations and business's that give them to clients, customers and employees that have no real connection to the football program or University.

That, combined with football mediocrity, have killed the atmosphere in the Coliseum in all the games except for the really big SEC games at night.

Hopefully Woodward will listen to the fans and fix the JA caused problems that have run so many off.

What? If it was your argument for the overall record I would kinda get your point.

Fine by me.Hell, that was Clemsons best period playing in Athens. How bout we go from 1964?
The record then goes to 2-14-1 @ Sanford.

So you pick out a 15 year period in rivalry that started over 120 years ago?

A stadium is only as tough as the team playing in it.

'Nuff said.

Hell Bama has a better winning percentage in that dump than they have in Bryant Denny. Bama just plain owns LSU and Baton Rouge and have for decades.

What specifically did Alleva do that fans were dissatified with?

As an Alabama fan, I'll show some honesty and say that Jordan-Hare is definitely louder than Bryant Denny, and I am fairly positive that it is louder than Sanford.

Tiger Stadium CAN be the loudest, but there are too many down games from LSU games where they seem disinterested.

I can't really speak on Kyle Field, or Ben Hill Griffin, but they sound pretty loud on TV.

Completely agree on this. They’ve lost some head scratchers there - mostly recently against the Vols - but that place has some serious juju, especially against Bama. Might be that wack Ring Ceremony voodoo or Bo Jackson’s sweat left over in the soil, but some weird sh*t happens at JHS. Kick Six and 2017 should never have happened. Devil’s work.

The only thing that makes playing Alabama tough at home is Alabama. The crowd has little effect on the game.

Same could be said about every stadium.

It may not be the crowd, because the old guard sits on their azzes and students sometimes leave early, but I think the mystique and aura of BDS is intimidating on its own.

I'd rate the SEC Stadiums thusly.

(But there's really not much between #3 and #5, and between #6 and #9.)

1. LSU Tiger Stadium

2. Florida Ben Hill Griffin

3. Georgia Sanford
4. Auburn Jordan-Hare
5. A&M Kyle

6. Tenn Neyland
7. bama Bryantdenny
8. South Carolina Wms Brice
9. Reynolds Razorback Arkansas

10.Miss State Davis Wade
11.Mizzou Fawcett
12.Ole Miss Vaught Hemingway

13.UK Commonwealth
14.Vandy

JHS is the hardest place to play in the SEC. Kyle is a close second

When did it get mystique and aura? Bama barely played there until 99, and it was pretty mediocre until the renovations hit in 2006. Has only recently had good atmosphere for big games and I would be worried if the handsitting still went on for the one or two top ten matchups a year Saban guarantees you
