The irony is that the SEC and B1G are in Nashville flexing their muscle as we speak to talk about the future as we know it. As far as these 2 leagues playing one another in yearly OOC games, that hardly moves the needle of who cares. But these power brokers need to change NIL and soon.
We have got to get to a true Pay for play. Contracts, CBA, salary caps, the whole script as we know it in professional sports. If Sankey can somehow get us out of the NCAA nothing burger we are currently eating and into a genuine business-like solution for college sports he should get a statue.

Fun topic but not happening. Reason? Money. Why should the SEC and Big 10 share anything with the Baylor, Arizona’s, Texas Tech’s of the world.
I predict when the new round of tv contracts come up, we will see better games and the money will be enormous. I speak of money but it doesn’t really matter to any fan. We just want compelling games to watch.
The money allows teams to buy better players. The Baylors of the world will have to accept playing in another league making less money.
It is not the SEC or Big 10’s position to help make money for the Baylors of the world.
I’ve always thought two 20 team leagues with their own playoff etc was the future.
Big 12, Acc, Pac12, Mountain, Sun Belt etc can have their own playoff etc.
Will just make better football games for fans

The other Conferences will continue without those schools, and hopefully we will see student athletes playing the sport we all love again! I hate this semi-pro crap personally.

I would take 64 teams because about 8 of those could be nixed. Memphis? Houston?
But the thing about having a lot of teams is that the Hopium supply lasts a lot longer into the season.
If we boil this down to 32, most of us will have switched over to Copium by the 3rd week.
No fun. We need the Baylors and Wyomings of the world.

UTjr and UL? Where do we sign up?
You should be excited. I mean...look at your winning percentage against the other teams in that section:
Alabama - 6%
Auburn - 19%
Tennessee - 26%
Louisville - 57%
Vanderbilt - 53%

The one take from this is IF we get to the point of having a super league of college football with a central governing body, it will, in a short amount of time, form smaller geographical divisions within the league resembling 8-12 team conferences from twenty years ago.
Imo the best we could hope for would be, six, ten team conferences within a super league of 60 teams with a 16 team playoff with on campus games until the semis. Nine conference games with 2 OOC games, all centrally scheduled and a third OOC game that is team scheduled against a non super league opponent.

I'd like to see these geniuses sit in a room with the decision-makers from Texas, Bama, Georga and Ohio State and explain to them the benefits of taking a smaller piece of the pie so that they can be affiliated with Navy, Houston and UCF.

6 home games is a non-starter for the P5 schools.

It doesnt make sense from a revenue standpoint or improve on the current alignment so its not going to happen.
When you're adding Memphis to your "super" league its not an improvement.

First thing: that name is horrible. Might as well call it something like League of Super Friends.

It may look good on paper in New York but the SEC ain’t going to give up the money or exposure they receive. No.

Eastern third of Colorado makes Oklahoma look like West Virginia.
But, anyway, no thanks on going back to the Big 8.
