For so many years, FSU was the only good program in that conference, and Clemson still couldn't win 10 games.

Ten won seasons is a silly metric that overweights for being good recently when teams play 14 games instead of 11.

It's crazy the Huskers are still 6th as bad as they've been for so many years.

Not really, and right now winning 15 is the perfect season. don't know how many expanded playoffs will bring.

He's missing LSU for some reason. They have either 16 or 17.
I know...that's why I had to post the "Big 6" before it was edited...

quote:That's because the current generation does not realize just what Nebraska was. All that hype on Miami as The U, and the Florida State talk, about the 80's and 90's... Nebraska was still a very big dog then. And they had been, for decades beforehand.
It's crazy the Huskers are still 6th as bad as they've been for so many years.
People can laugh at us if they want, but when LSU played Nebraska in the Orange and 2 Sugars in the 80's, we lost; but a lot of people were proud we "played them well".
You hoped to win but didn't expect it, the fear was they were gonna roll all over your arse.
For older people, it's still somewhat of a shock to put together a Top 10 (nevermind top 25) without them. They were perennial, and they were for real. They'd blow out other top teams like it was a cupcake game.

Clemson has at least 18 10-win seasons.

This list is NOT up-to-date with correct numbers....Georgia has 27 10+ win seasons and 14+ 11-win seasons for example.

Your numbers are incorrect.
Boise State has eighteen 10+ win and twelve 11+ win seasons since joining the FBS in 1996.

Bama also currently has the record at 14 consecutive 10 win seasons. Clemson is right behind at 12.
While extended seasons make reaching 10 wins more feasible these days I could see our streak ending before Clemson’s does. Their path to 10 wins each season is Charmin soft.

No ACC school is a "blueblood" in football.
Florida State and Miami have made up a LOT of ground in a very short period of time, however.
