So far the CWS hasn't been bad
Some of the regionals and supers got out of hand but I'm at least glad to see the offense rebound from what it was when TD Ameritrade first opened.

I still think they need to go to wood bats.

An untrue statement. Good college ball is equivalent to Triple A.

Yeah after the initial switch it started to resemble softball more with very low scores. I think the year UCLA won was the worst as far as that goes. Nobody could hit a home run, and it wasn’t because of good pitching.

It used to be so bad that I wouldn't watch. You may have found it more exciting 10 years ago, but it wasn't better baseball.

When did you think it was bad? I will admit it’s marginally better now than the 2013-2015 period.

Too many great story lines to be running with this take this year

-State set a CWS strikeout record.
-Jack throws a complete game, allowing just 4 hits and 1 ER in a loss.
-Stanford teeing off.
-Tony V always keeps things interesting with his fiery style.
-UVA went from being 5 outs away from a 4-0 no-hitter, to losing 6-5.

I started trying to watch around 2005. Didn't begin appreciating college baseball until around 2015. Sure, our recent run has something to do with that, but as a MLB fan, I used to think college baseball was worse than single A. Now I'd compare it to AA.

It's no secret that more college players are getting drafted in the early rounds or that better high school players are now choosing to play college ball more.
