Player gets a car
Mom gets an easy job
Handler gets cash

Unless the school is run by idiots, no university or athletic program employee handles the cash.

I say pay them all and let the irs watch it. Then there will be more balance in teams. Saban will be non-existent as a HC and Bama will be back to its middle of the sec form. Maybe even the east will be more competitive than just 2 teams yearly.

The way it is now the Government has to go through loop holes just to do anything to schools that cheat.

Why couldn't a CFB player at Bama afford a semi nice used vehicle?

Off campus room and board allowance
$1,000 to $1,500 a month (estimated, the only info I could find was Clemson and they were $1,600)

COA stipend $5,300
Travel stipend for CFB playoffs $5,000

$22,000+ (low side) I'm assumming tax free

$28,000+ (high side)

If the athlete is semi smart with his housing choice couldn't they pocket a pretty good portion? And if they
and their family made smart travel choices couldn't they do the same with the travel stipend?

That's what they were for years before Emmert and Saban took office.
