The polls are a mess because some voters view them as power rankings (who they think would win), while others view them as earned rankings (what does your resume say).
I agree Bama should be ahead of UGA if you view the polls as a power ranking.
But if you look at resume for undefeated teams... UGA probably still should be #1. (They have the best win of undefeated teams... a 46 point win over #12 Oregon). Ole Miss should be #2 (3 point win over #13 UK), Clemson should be #3 (10 point win over #14 NCSU... though you could argue for #1 as they also have a win over #15 Wake). Bama would be next with their win over #25 Arkansas.
But voters struggle with that because they believe Bama would beat UGA/Clemson/Ole Miss. Same is true with Ohio State. So they go more toward the power ranking route.

I'm cool with it. We shouldn't get rewarded for an ugly win vs a bad team. If we win next week the narrative will change.

Bama barely beat Texas yes but UGA has struggled the whole game, not just the first half, with Kent st and an sec bottom feeder. Bama has pretty much won its other games going away.
