He better, might be the last "5 star" he ever coaches based on Auburn's recruiting class so far.

Look I understand he is your new HC. You got to see what he did at BSU! He didn't coach like Petersen! Petersen would've been a homerun hired for any school if he had not gone to Washington. Is harsin similar to Petersen? I say No! Not even close. That doesn't mean he will be better than Gus. It is a wait and see approach for Harsin. Drinkwitz is already a homerun hired. He is light years better at recruiting and is coaching a lot better. He had very little time to do much with the COVID-19 going on and that is surprising that he went 5-5. Last 3 games were proof that he needed to get better players and much better backups and depth. He should be in much better shape than last year. I would give Harsin 2 years to see where he is at since he is new and will be evaluate for his recruiting in his second time around. Not this year.

Is his current recruiting class also blowing you away?

Typical TrueLefty post, like clockwork.

Spends the first half trashing Harsin, the second half sucking off Harry Potter (who no one else even brought up).

I'm not sold on the hire but in the last several years there has been several hires that looked bad or average on paper that did a good job where they went. Some coaches are better fits at other places. Plus I was tired of Gus' stupid coaching decisions costing us games.

If Terry Bowden, Gus, Tuberville, and Chiz can win at Auburn, Harsin will also.

I don't know about this hire either. But his rep says he gets the most out of the talent he has, and sharing a state with Bama, that might just be AU's best route. That being said, this is the SEC and he needs speed. The only way to get speed is to recruit it. If he struggles recruiting then he needs to hire some SEC recruiting specialist in order to get some talent to coach up. We'll just have to wait until year 2 to see.
