Who gives a shite. Division champs isn’t even a real thing. There’s just a conference champion.

Considering we beat Florida, probably losing to LSU.

Yes, if you finish with the same record, you are co-champs. I thought everyone knew that.
We finished with a better record (8-2 vs 7-2). even the UGA grads on their Wiki page aren't claiming co champs.

yes, we are technically co-champs with florida.
however, if you refer to us as division champs this year, you have absolutely zero respect for yourself and truly just don't understand sports.
florida won the division, that's all there is to it.

Since the SEC expanded in 1992, divisional champions have been crowned. Occasionally, a tie between two or more teams occurs, requiring a tie-breaker. All teams involved in the tie-breaker are considered co-divisional champions, and the winner of the tie-breaker is the division's representative to the Championship Game."
This is actually correct.
Arkansas has the same 1998 SEC West trophy as Miss State despite the Bulldogs winning the tie-breaker to go to the championship game.

Once again, I have NEVER claimed UGA as "co-champ" this year.
My point is the head-to-head ELIMINATES anything "co" & therefore the H-T-H winner is champion.....loser is 2nd place.

Who cares if you do? Go ahead. It is in the rules. I mean, it's not something I personally would go around bragging about, but it is definitely a thing. It wouldn't be in the rules if it were not. The only people that should turn their nose up at it is Alabama. Most everybody else don't win their divisions enough to say it isn't a thing. If they do, then i would just ask them why they don't do it more often. (That includes Georgia fans, fwiw)

Wait. A better record because Vanderbilt opted out twice? Yeah. Let's see Florida fans justify that.

Normally I don't think anyone would give two shits. We aren't Ole miss here, but if we did win it next year that would continue the streak to five in a row, which would be significant.
Agree to disagree.

No. Florida did not. The SEC offices say so. You can't twist anything to suit popular opinion. You don't throw out rules because it suits other people. Those are the rules, just like "Holding" and Clippig (Now blocking in the back) are rules. And now, we are not division champions. We are co-Champions.

different than being co-champion and watching as the team you lost to head to head plays for the title, I think.
If you can do it get the bye and still make the playoffs and win a national title it’s pretty cool. Just saying.

1st why??
2nd.. technically the SEC doesn’t tie break division ties, but uses one to select a division representative for the Conf champ game..
But no one recognizes it , bless you play in the game... and shouldn’t !

No one is changing the rules DL, it is simple math.
Here is from your own folks.
