To me, the thing that's fricked up the sport the most is not having to sit out a year if you transfer. Put that back in place and you curb alot of this highest bidder shite.

NIL is what has truly gotten out of hand. Back in the day, you could get a heisman QB for 200k... now you're looking at over a million to get a decent QB1.

CFB is achieving what the USFL and XFL have tried to do…. Create a pro league that can rival the NFL in interest and revenue.
Specifically two conferences. Programs like Clemson and FSU will be folded in soon enough.

It's pretty simple to fix really as soon as these colleges and boosters accept that this is not amateurism anymore. Players are making profit now, so make the players put some skin in the game by signing a contract with whatever NIL entity is paying them money. Put restrictions in the contract on them transferring after X number of games or they pay back X amount of money to the NIL entity. Put performance clauses in the contracts, etc. It doesn't make sense to just hand out money like candy to these players and they can leave at the drop of a hat with no penalties. The people giving them the NIL money are going to have to end all of the craziness with the Transfer Portal..College football is NFL lite now, and they are going to have to control the players with contracts, unfortunately.

You realize that A&M is partially responsible for this with the amount of money you spent on the '22 class right?
That being said I do agree with you. There's got to be some limit on the portal it's just the wild West and it's getting ridiculous.

How much money did TAMU pump in that recruiting class? How many are transferring out? I guess money isn’t absolutely the only thing that matters.
