lol. I don't think you went to Vanderbilt. You remind me of some sidewalk Clemson fans on Tigernet who pretend to be Clemson grads.
Vanderbilt is a tiny school...the fact it is selective is no big accomplishment.

Well, for the first four words of your post, you were hitting the nail on the head. Past that...
And here's where I'm going to point out something so blindingly obvious that it generally takes a high school drop-out to miss it. Vanderbilt is small because they're selective. They aren't required to be small by some obscure governing body. The fact that you didn't even grasp that is just the latest in the long series of reasons why nobody here believes you ever attended college anywhere. You are a complete idiot.
Edit: Our endowment, incidentally, is easily the highest of any single SEC university. We could triple our size without even noticing the money spent in doing so.

I know a person is dumb if they start bragging about a university endowment. You aren't getting any of that money. lol

Oh good Lord. Your reading comprehension is actually getting worse somehow. I had a very specific purpose in pointing out our resources; I was noting that we were a small school by selectivity and choice, not practical necessity. Just...just admit you never attended college. I suspect that you will find it liberating not to have to feel like you need to sustain an increasingly improbable and bizarre lie.

I understand Vanderbilt is small by choice. lol
My point is it is easy for a small college to be more selective than much larger public universities that also have to take a large percentage of in state students.
Vanderbilt's selectivity doesn't mean it is a more difficult college to attend.

Vanderbilt's superior academics means it is a more difficult University to attend though

does Vanderbilt's 'superior' academics mean you have to capitalize the word university used in an informal sense.

Does your phone's swype keyboard mess up capitalizations randomly too? Or do you just not know sentences start with capital letters?

Not taught at Clemson

You capitalized university used informally in the middle of a sentence.

You didn't capitalize a sentence
No matter how many times you say it, Clemson won't magically become a top university.
Clemson is just another average state university. There is nothing wrong with that and you can still get a good education there. The only real negative about Clemson is that they allegedly have low enough standards to hand you a degree

i don't care what you think about Clemson. You are nobody.
Clemson grads are not trying to get a job with a nobody. You are only running your mouth about Clemson academics b/c Clemson's football team beat Auburn's football team 4 years in a row.
The crazy thing is I said that I would would rather have a degree from Auburn over Vanderbilt and you still attack me and trash Clemson academics, despite ostensibly being an Auburn fan. lol

I no shite was part of a recent hiring decision for a Clemson grad
She was a qualified, likable candidate who got the job

Wouldn't call telling the truth (i.e. that Clemson is another avg state school) as "running your mouth"
... but maybe I was wrong about that Clemson education, it could deserve less credit than I'm giving them if they call you an alumnus

Another Tillman post, another post with incorrect claims. Clemson has beat AU 4 times in a row, not 4 years in a row. We did not play 2013-2015
I'll give you a pass though, you seem to have a difficult relationship with facts
quote:
The crazy thing is I said that I would would rather have a degree from Auburn
Then you are a moron, a Vanderbilt degree is significantly more valuable than an Auburn degree
Auburn, like Clemson, is another avg state school where you can get a good education from. Like Clemson, it is not on par with Vanderbilt academically
quote:
you still attack me and trash Clemson academics
I'm not doing so much as attacking as exposing reality to you
There is nothing wrong with Clemson being another avg major state school. Not sure why you are taking offense

This thread is proof football schools can't trash talk about basketball very well.

Just wanted to add to the discussion... SAT score is a solid proxy for academic level...
Avg. SAT Score
UGA - 1330
UF - 1330
Clemson - 1310
Auburn - 1250
Alabama - 1190
GT - 1450
Vanderbilt - 1530
USC - 1270
UT - 1220
A&M - 1250
Based on those scores of similar state schools I would say Clemson is an above average state school... Clearly not the best, but solidly on par with schools like UGA and UF. Most state schools have become much more competitive academically over the past 15 years.
Edit: Just to add to that... On the civil engineering side, schools like A&M, UF, GT, NC State, Clemson and Auburn all produce a great crop of grads that are all pretty comparable.

Clemson looks Elite Eight this year, but look who their likely opponent will be: Duke. Mike Shishefsky and the Blue Devils are fixing to eat!
Clemson will beat Kansas, they're not that good this year.

After reading this sad thread in its entirety, I came to the same conclusion. It's unfortunate really since it started off as a decent basketball discussion.
