Any good matchup information?

I would give the QB, WR, and RB edge to Clemson.

What are the other matchups?
Where does A&M have an advantage?

Special teams? Etc.

Where does Texas A&M have a real advantage?

I just want to know if they cover the number.

Will Mond play great on the road?
Has he improved greatly?

Who is the RB that will move the chains for A&M?

What corners will lock down Ross, Liggins, etc?

Who get good pressure and breaks Lawrence?

I don't believe this exists.

I believe they do cover. Jimbo is used to playing Clemson and playing in Death Valley.

Mond has played pretty well on the road in the past. Can't really tell if he has improved greatly, but I was impressed with the zip on some of his balls against Tx State.

Jashaun Corbin is going to be a very solid back for A&M.

Justin Madabuike and Bobby Brown are solid on the DL. Should put some pressure and also limit the run.

Where does Texas A&M have a real advantage? Run defense (strong DL group).

I just want to know if they cover the number. Who knows.

Will Mond play great on the road?
Hopefully.

Has he improved greatly? Yes. He's much more fluid and accurate mid-deep. According to Jimbo, his knowledge of the offense is much deeper than last year and that shows in his decisiveness (granted only one game against an inferior opponent).

Who is the RB that will move the chains for A&M?
Jashaun Corbin. They held us to 71 yards last year. But, they looked worse on run D against Ga Tech. And, our OL had communication errors against Tx State that they'll have to clean up this week.

What corners will lock down Ross, Liggins, etc?
I don't think they will get locked down. But, our secondary did have 4 ints in week 1 and only had 7 all of last year. So, hopefully a better grasp of the scheme and reducing the YAC that Clemson had last year can contain the pass game.

Who get good pressure and breaks Lawrence? Our best are the inside guys in Madubuike, Brown, Peevy. They should garner a lot of attention and open it up for the outside guys to clean up.

Two of Clemson's touchdowns last year were the result of bad coverage and bad tackling by two players, Derrick Tucker and Charles Oliver. Tucker was replaced on the depth chart by a true freshman and Oliver was pulled after being Oliver in the first half and replaced by JUCO Blades.

The difference in this game is Trever Lawrence's long balls (no pun intended).

Everything depends on Mond IMO. I don't know if he has the supporting cast to support him like Lawrence does. Clemson can lean heavy on perhaps the best RB in the nation if Lawrence struggles or aTm sells out to stop the pass. Can the Aggies do the same?

Clemson DC Brent Venables is going to blitz Mond from every conceivable direction and Monds ability to read and react will be big.

Conditioning will be huge in the game for both teams. I realize both schools play in the heat, but it's still early September in the afternoon and this game is going to be tough on both teams.

neither team can afford any special teams blunders or turnover issues to have a chance.

Should be a good game. I don't buy the large spread at all.

It's strength vs strength for A&M's DL vs Clemson's OL. This is probably Clemson's best run blocking OL of the past 10 years. Not UGA good, but pretty good and a veteran group.

It's weakness vs weakness when it comes to A&M's OL vs Clemson's DL. It looks like A&M's OL has taken a step back from last year, and Clemson has taken a step back at DT. Clemson can still really get after the passer, but they are susceptible to the run.

Clemson's LBs are not overly athletic but they are experienced. A&M losing their stud TE helps Clemson, but I am sure they will still target that matchup.

Clemson's stud WRs vs A&Ms tall and talented CBs will be an interesting matchup. Again I think that will be strength vs strength.

Clemson's CBs are really good this year, and that will be another matchup to watch against A&Ms talented WRs.

As stated in another thread, I think like most games this will come down to how well Clemson and A&M can establish the run to keep the opposing D honest.

And I know it sounds cliché but turnovers will mean everything to the team that wins and loses this game

Trevor Lawrence's arm and A&M's secondary will be the matchup of the day. I suspect a close game but feel a quick frenzy by Lawrence. A&M will answer each time to continuously play catch up. Mond looked great against TX State. I also believe that Corbin is not the standout back for A&M this week, I believe it will be True Freshman Spiller.

O-line/D-lines will give each other hell, but I imagine they will be evenly matched for each team. I'd love to see some spectacular LB play, but the QB's are too good and mobile to bank on it (+RB's are as elusive as any).

Game of turnovers/penalties on Saturday. Game will be decided by less than a TD.

28-24 in regulation - could go either way. Pulling for the Maroon and White.

I think if Clemson could have it's way, they would like to really pound the rock early rotating Etienne and Dixon with a lot of tempo to wear down the Aggies D-line. They will attack the perimeter a lot. I consider WR screens an extension of the run game so Lawrence will throw a number of them early to loosen the secondary up.

Clemson is using Lawrence more and more in zone reads and frankly I don't like it because it's really opening him up to injury. I hope we don't see much of that.

Sounds like you have Clemson solved.

I doubt this occurs. They will try to keep the Aggies D off balance and mix run and pass. We don't ever "pound the rock", and our smaller backs are not the tool to do it with.
