Adding Clemson to the SEC would be a downgrade only two schools from the ACC that are worth the SEC are North Carolina, FSU

You have two losses too... one to Duke by 21 points.

I think Clemson fans might need to realize that the more time passes after their Deshaun Watson/Trevor Lawrence years, the less interesting they are as an addition for other conferences. Clemson is selling themselves as 2015-2019 Clemson... but I'm not sure that's how the other conferences are viewing them right now. I think right now they're seen more as 2011-2014 Clemson. That's not horrible. But it's not a gimme addition for anyone either.

Writing is on the wall. I hate expansion but UNC, Clemson and FSU are SEC bound.

No one has been able to explain how the SEC adding any combination of teams not including Notre Dame would result in more money for each SEC school.

I'm sorry, the SEC isn't going to expand if the teams currently in the SEC make less money. The SEC isn't going to expand just because the Big 10 is doing it. It will only happen if the schools make more. If you can't actually provide some logical reasoning on how they'll make more (considering they're just breaking even for now by adding Texas and Oklahoma), I simply won't believe that the SEC will expand.

Nobody outside of ND is available that will bring in more money than Texas/OU. And Texas/OU are just break even for the moment.

So…. IF this is true, it obviously has to be 4 teams to the SEC……Clemson/FSU/NorthCarolina and ???

Who would be the 4th ??? team?

Duke? NCState? Virginia? VaTech? Miami?

(Clemson/FSU/NorthCarolina seem inevitable…. But they’re not just gonna add 3)

Where are the coots 14 or 15????

2019 pretty much ended Clemson and Dabo. Nice solid program though and it was a really good run for about 5 years.

The transfer portal (and NIL) finished it off.

Clemson and FSU are a natural fit for the SEC.

Miami is not.

If you break apart the ACC, the SEC can take up to 5 schools and it really doesn't cost ESPN any extra money.

The Big 10 just monetized basketball, so if the SEC included Duke and UNC in the expansion then the SEC probably could get 8 million a year for extended basketball rights.

A SEC/Big 12 basketball agreement could add more as the Big 12 will be looking for ways to add revenue. Their teams will only be getting between 30 and 40 million while the SEC and Big 10 will be 90 to 100 million.
