I’ve spent a lot of time in the upstate of SC and they have the worst, the worst, fans. I’m sure many are decent people, but so many of them have this bizarre mentality. A bit like the Dutch…
If you’ve ever worked with the Dutch, you’ll find they’re bright, engaging people. But give it time and you’ll hear the following:
-We are the tallest people on earth
-Per capita, we are the wealthiest country on earth
-God created the earth, but the Dutch created the Netherlands
They do not like it when you remind them that their name is “Nether” lands, and compare it to a body’s nether regions. Or when you liken them to a smooth speed bump in 20th Century wars.
Clemson is very similar. In the end, I do believe it’s because they’re not in the SEC. I think that’s the plutonium core of their collective tiny penis mentality.
