Hell, 14 is to many.

Have always said this. My wish is the old days of the 10 or 8 team conferences and no championship game. Everybody plays round robin every year. Clemson is a natural ACC team but since we're blowing up football as we know it let's bring in Clemson, FSU, Ga. Tech and UNC. UNC helps roundball and Clemson is credible in football. FSU and GT would be a test. Plus, it would keep SOME regional reference to the SOUTHEASTERN CONFERENCE. Not the lower midwest/southeast/ great plains conference. I've always thought LSU and Arkie were too far west much less Mizzou. Those 3 are more of a natural fit playing Texas teams.

Agreed. Trimming back to 12 would be nice, since we're stuck rotating only one team from the West now.

No-It does not expand the SEC's TV market.

We are having shirts printed that say:
Beat the Tigers.
They will be good for 3 games a year starting next year...
Against LSU you play for the Boot, against Mizzou you play for the Golden Wall Mart Cart. What do you play for against Memphis? West Memphis? Or a BBQ sandwich?

agreed, although it would play into sec west's hands due to recruiting perhaps. definitely make a difference in georgia, but that's ok.
Exactly.
It would jeopardize UGA's recruiting pipeline in North Carolina. That would be bad.
Also, Clemson's annual raiding of Georgia for recruits would get even worse.

the fallout wouldn't come from Gamecock fans. we've had to live with their retarded bullsht all our lives.
Alabama fans would immediately hate the move once the tater fanbase begins proclaiming how much more "superior" they are than the Crimson Tide and how Alabama wants to be them.
i'd just sit back and laugh. i'd also enjoy watching Mississippi State and Kentucky beat CU.

Are you still talking about Clemson, or VA Tech?

definitely the Pickens clan. not too familiar with the Blacksburg birds. the Upstate radio minions usually have a once a month panic attack on when Alabama will officially reach out for Dabo to see if he would want to be coach after Saban.

Tech fans talk like they have the history of Bama or Michigan, when in reality, they have less history than Ole Miss.

Clemson and Texas would be two good additions.
Texas just to piss off the Aggies and so they can go back to being Texas's bitch.
ETA: Neither will happen...

Let's go get North Carolina. Their football would elevate (see A&M) and their Basketball speaks for itself.
And good in baaseball as well.

No, we own the state already, don't need Clemson.

Clemson is a better SEC fit than the Gamecocks. And, as an earlier poster said, it is South Carolina's flagship program. Btw, have you ever been to Columbia?
