We should add Oklahoma and North Carolina and call it a day.

Two Death Valley's in the same conference? Heads would explode. Nobody wants that blood on their hands.

There is only one Death Valley, it is at Clemson, the confusion comes from LSU fans not knowing how to spell.

Men's basketball is the only other money sport.

Duke/UNC would be the one "same state" add I could go for.

It would elevate the SEC to pure dominance on the NCAA BB front. We only have one team currently that is on that level.

I agree but if we expand it is going to be about eyes first, then football, and then basketball. But if we did add two same state schools then UNC and Duke would be fine with me

We could make winning the SEC (unscathed enough to get into a 4-team playoff) absolutely unmanageable by adding, for example OU, and for argument's sake, FSU or Clemson.

Which is why I wouldn't mind a basketball focused expansion. Our football image is without peer--it needs no elevation. But Basketball could use a little help, NCAA BB conference titles mean nothing, and you can still get a bunch of teams into a 64 team playoff.

Aw you sticking up for your resident arky amateur troll? I'm certainly not mad that we're 1-0 right now. I just like pointing out that denton has been on our 'Cocks' since y'all failed to escape y'all's regional. Its really pathetic since he posts like 20 times a day in threads that have nothing to do with the arkys.

Football isn't a problem as all that is really cared about is revenue, you add a combination of schools like UNC/Duke/NC state/WVU/Maryland you will have the football revenue rise, but really what you are doing is giving a huge boost on the basketball side. All schools have a decent following in football, you are right increasing the difficulty on the schedule will actually hurt the SEC in generating revenue, TV is only going to pay so much, better to have multiple teams in the playoff versus one or none.

There is a good size of money to be tapped into on the Basketball side for the SEC.

I agree completely but it is just not what is going to drive expansion.

A company doesn't say let's do this, we won't make any more money but we will be such a good company. They say let's do this, we will make a lot more money and who cares that our product won't be as good as it could be

They would likely run into state legislature problems not allowing it, IMO.

We are having shirts printed that say:

Beat the Tigers.

They will be good for 3 games a year starting next year...
