And? It took forcing you tards to leave to finally bring some revitalization to downtown. Like everything else about your school, it wasn’t until success was earned by someone else that Clemson swooped in to ride coattails.

I've successfully rustled some jimmes in this thread.

You would think fans of a team favored by God wouldn't need to defend themselves.

Tilman - you are absolutely one of the dumbest people to ever post on this board and know nothing about the history of Clemson.

John C Calhoun did not live in this area. Clemson is named after Thomas Clemson, John C Calhouns son in law. Thomas Clemson owned the plantation and later bequeathed his property to the State of South Carolina for educational purposes at the request of your namesake

Greenville's current mayor and Congressman are both USC grads. I went to law school with the Congressman.

USCe deserves all credit for the revitalization of Greenville. Clemson people denying it are ignorant of the history of the area.

Gotta love the politicians that only show up for ribbon cuttings to pat themselves on the back. Greenville has had Clemson’s Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, Real Estate departments right in their back yard.

Clemson married John C's daughter and inherited the mansion from JOhn C who did live there. Clemson wasn't from SC.

It was an Austrian immigrant mayor who jump started the downtown area by reducing the 4 lane main street to 2 lanes, putting in wide sidewalks and the trees.

sounds like ya'll have indirectly conceded downtown Greenville is the best if you are trying to give credit for it to SC grads. lol

reality is Greenville is America's Downtown and Clemson is America's College Town. don't fight it. we get the best of both worlds in God's Country

What Clemson is perfectly suited for is keeping secrets though. Dabo controls every facet of that town including the cops.

Actually BMW had more to do with Greenville than anything although it is located in Spartanburg. BMW brought other businesses with it while Spartanburg remind a textile town for years and is one of the biggest crap holes in the state. Glad I left at 18 years old many many years ago

Dumb arse rednecks from bumphuck South Carolina. That’s got to be at least as bad as Arkansas hillbillies or red dirt back road Gumps.
