Clemson got pretty banged up though. Gonna takes its toll. Clemson better score first in the 3rd quarter.

Sorta like they didn't review the obvious fist down by Henry earlier.

Bama didn't get many breaks from the refs. They tackled Tim Williams twice in a row.

that felt like an incredibly fast first half.

Hell of a game!

Saban has this. Clemson is about to get demolished in the second half.

Hard to go "if and buts" here. Who knows, he could have gotten a few more seconds and Watson could have thrown a pick 6.

If Coker doesn't take a sack on the last drive. Bama may have driven and scored.

If Watson eats the ball and doesn't throw the pick, they go up by 14.

If they call the offsides on the first drive, Bama may have driven down and scored.

Coker has to be better with the mental clock. Killed at least three drives. Get rid of the ball sheesh

This has been one good game so far. Neither team is shining above the other.
Yeah it's about what we thought. Clemson is basically just Watson. Bama is all Ridley and Henry.

I think even Bama fans can recognize the clock guy screwed up bigtime there. These refs need to get it together

They're PAC-12.

As much as everyone rightly complains about SEC refs, they are all stars compared to the PAC-12. As a group, they are easily the worst in college football.

Coker has frustrated me tonight with his pocket awareness

This game like the 2010 Iron Bowl is the perfect illustration of how a massive advantage at the QB position can wipe out every advantage the opposing team has. It didn't matter that Auburn had Gene Chizik as their head coach while Bama had Nick Saban and superior talent on their side. Auburn had Cam Newton while Bama had Greg McElroy and that's the only thing that mattered.

For sure, I think the D has settled down, and the Clemson O is tired

Edit:I hope

the clock should have stopped at 14 seconds, but they let another 2 seconds run while he was on the ground before they stopped then started running again before the spike/timeout

Last year, it was the clock operator for the Cowboys who did the clock along with his regular partner.
Link for last year

So I hope it's the Cardinals regular clock operator. At least then there is some excuse for that screw-up.

Coker is waiting for the play action bomb. Just wait, he may have taken a couple sacks but with Alexander out, it'll become open eventually.

The difference in the game is Coker. I'm not sure Clemson has stopped Bama yet except maybe the first possession. Coker has made horrible decisions and refuses to get rid of the ball. I think Bama had 3 possessions in a row where they took a massive loss on 2nd down.

If Coker was playing well, Bama would be up by 10 right now.

Clemson's D line is way better than I expected.
