Hard to go "if and buts" here. Who knows, he could have gotten a few more seconds and Watson could have thrown a pick 6.

If Coker doesn't take a sack on the last drive. Bama may have driven and scored.

If Watson eats the ball and doesn't throw the pick, they go up by 14.

If they call the offsides on the first drive, Bama may have driven down and scored.

or just make pretty easy calls correctly. sure watson could have thrown a pick six, but we'll never know because it was a complete mental fart what the refs did at the end of the half, and shite like that shouldn't have to come into play in a game like this

Props to Dabo for calling out the clock operator there. That shite is inexcusable in a national championship game.

refs will never let Bama lose. Letting the clock run on the last first down was blatant cheating.

We we know so far.

Coker needs to run the damn ball. Bama needs to stop the qb run.
Henry is a beast.
Bama is not DBU.
Both kickers suck.
If bama gets a hold of one of the soccer kicks they are bringing it back at least 50 yards.
Bamas dline will never tackle clemsons QB and should just quit trying

Special teams are iffy for both teams.

Clemon has list 2 or 3 starters on defense, so bama is winning war of attrition.

Bama oline is not as good as a lot of people expected abd showing why they were picked 4 or 5 best in SEC.

SEC is not only conference with shitty officials. ( what if bama loses on a bad call. The irony would be unreal.

No such thing as holding in this game so some oline will start to test that out second half.

I still think bama wins this and Henry takes over with a few key passes or runs by jacob. But Clemson QB is the real deal and could pull a Texas USC deal but not likely. Saban will fix this at half

Coker has killed at the very least two drives. You just can't do that in this game.

Coker is waiting for the play action bomb. Just wait, he may have taken a couple sacks but with Alexander out, it'll become open eventually.

He could throw and interception like jeremy johnson.

Maybe Dabo should call out his kicker for missing a kick also.

The difference in the game is Coker. I'm not sure Clemson has stopped Bama yet except maybe the first possession. Coker has made horrible decisions and refuses to get rid of the ball. I think Bama had 3 possessions in a row where they took a massive loss on 2nd down.

If Coker was playing well, Bama would be up by 10 right now.

outside the one bailout Henry got for a TD, Clemson has done "okay" against the run. they've done what they need to do...make alabama throw the ball instead of henry just run it down their throats all night.

Yep. We own every ref from every conference.

Deal with it.

I agree, Coker is going to be forced to make some reads as the defense is going to stack the box more in the second half to stop Henry.

See, this is the reason why I always believe Saban would fail in the NFL again without a franchise QB in place. He can't evaluate QB talent to save his life. In 14 seasons at LSU and Alabama, he's recruited two QBs that have been worth a damn: Jamarcus Russell and AJ McCarron. Everybody else has been mediocre or flat out awful. You can't win with QBs like Jake Coker in the NFL.

Les Miles recruits significantly better talent than Clemson yet plays in December 29th bowls.

bullshite. Nobody can throw an interception like Jeremy can. Jeremy has turned interceptions into an art form unrivaled.

Kiffin trying for the kill shot and it ain't there, Coker should just throw underneath and pound.

Probably the best strategy IMO.

I hate Kiffin more than anyone else but this half isn't on him. It's all on the woeful play of Jake Coker and the offensive line.
