Well, I was just glad that the BCS had the wherewithal to decide that conference champions needn't be a requisite to determine the best team years ago. It gave Dre the chance to air things out with Matthieu, and it properly set in motion the path for the best team to win the Championship.

Good calls all around!

Am I the only person who didn't have a huge problem with it? Yes it was dangerous, but the kid was just trying to make a tackle, I don't think he intended to tombstone him.

it looked bad, but i think it was an over excited RS freshman getting playing time, not knowing his own strength. he initially just wraps the RB up, but the RB doesnt go down so he stops him, its just that hes 6'7 and 300 lbs, and the RB was tiny. Im pretty positive fanning wasn't trying to do what ended up happening. what i think is funny is all the concern and crocodile tears on a play where no one was injured, whereas you would be cheering if your player did the same thing.

Surely you've been wrapped up in adrenaline at some point in your life where the moment made you do something you knew you shouldn't. It doesn't mean it's intentional. There is a difference between intentionality and a lack of discipline or thought.

So when the tip of my dick is resting 2" from some pussy, and she says no, it's cool if I just frick her anyway?

People need to be responsible for their actions. Heat of the moment or whatthefrickever doesn't matter if that young man is paralyzed for life or worse.

You are comparing what Fanning did to rape? In reply to a female no less? Dude.

Dude. He could have been SERIOUSLY injured. The only way to prevent that from happening is threat/fear of punishment. If an LSU player did that, I would want him suspended for several games. I am sure saban will come up with good punishment. Him being a backup, it really does no good to suspend him unless its for the season.

All this complaining and phony indignation is a load of crap. If Fanning played for you you'd be cheering.

My apologies. Didn't know it was a female. But that situation has happened to me before and I also do MMA and other stuff and their is definitely a comparison.

So last year when TM7 hit Dre, the SEC should have interjected and Suspended him? Because Miles shouldn't have been able to handle it internally?

You sound like a fricking idiot.

how about the lsu personnal foul late in the game. How bad would that have been if he actually hit. Don't throw stones in a glass house!

See no I wouldn't. I was in the Army and deployed for a few years of it and I have seen people get paralyzed and am very aware of the effects.

So if this kid was a Florida player I would be yelling for him to be suspended for several games.

I think Saban did the right thing, but he has an agenda. He is making sure Bama doesn't get in the SEC's doghouse. Easiest way to mitigate punishment or penalty is to address it internally publicly.

CEO move. I would expect the same from every other coach in the SEC tbh.

Why was the kid left in the game if it was such a horrible foul?

Why didn't he just pull his flag? This is what the College and NFL game is turning into, FLAG FOOTBALL. Give me a break.

Saban as the "most revered disciplinarian in football." When at LSU, he had a DB who failed 5 drug tests. The school, not the athletic dept., eventually kicked him out of school. And I am sure that is not the only player who was similarly "disciplined" under Saban. LSU had a lot more players involved with the law under Saban than CLM ever has. It's comical that, to bama fans, Saban is a god in every sense of the word & can never do any wrong.
