So, let me get this straight....

We see a malicious tackle by an Alabama player, arguably with intent to end the RB's season. He isn't ejected from the game...he isn't suspended from any future games. Alabama PR does a little damage control and states that both the offending player and his coach wrote an apology.

And this apology somehow equates, at least with those persons with permanent Crimson eyewear, that Saban is a great coach and disciplinarian. Because they said they apologized? I fail to see the discipline or any reasoning for applauding yourselves.

Suppose I purposely kick my neighbor in the head. I later facetiously said, "oops, my bad". The next neighborhood block party is in my honor because I'm such a great guy for providing a fake apology. (I love this logic)

As a Mizzou alumn/fan, the only solid recompense for this dirty shot was a near meaningless 15 yard penalty. You can keep your damn apology...it's worthless, because it is just an Alabama'n sarcastic joke.

You're projecting a degree of malicious intent that was simply not present in what actually happened. Trying to end the RB season? Fanning doesn't give a frick about ending some JV running back's season. He was just excited to get in the game and lost his head. He hasn't been playing football that long, still a raw player, lacking the instincts we've come to expect from an Alabama lineman under Coach Saban.

And I guarantee you Saban will suspend the kid internally, and I'm sure the SEC office was notified of this as well. I've little doubt that any internal punishment from Coach Saban will dwarf whatever minimal suspension the league would've handed down, and I'm sure they recognize that.

And lastly, what's all this "they said they apologized" shite? They absolutely apologized. What more do you want? Keep the apology? What a trashy thing to say. They weren't obligated to do so. No one else in the league ever seems to do it. But they did anyway, because it was the classy thing to do. And now you're here trying to shite on them for it? SMFH. What trash.

You are also projecting. Neither of you know what his intentions were.
