Not a knock on Chizik or Auburn but for him to say it out loud because "I'm not coaching anymore. I can say it." What a wild day.

I don’t think any serious program hasn’t been paying players in several decades

It's been a long time, but someone on Tiger Rant found some quotes from old coaches talking about impermissable benefits back in the 50s.

He was brave enough to admit it. Some coaches still denying it and they are retired.

This could have implications for players who were allegedly paid "under the table." If names are ever disclosed and any allegations are substantiated, it could tarnish their reputations. Time will tell.

Golding giving former coaches the balls to come out and talk about paying players live on ESPN is actually pretty funny. I wish Saban would have been on that set instead of Chizik.

We did it, started winning, got called out on it, and had to start over, every single time.

If we don't puss out in 2010 and we bid higher for Newton, we could have won the GD title that year.

Good i really wish other coaches would be honest about it. Think about what a great book that would make. Reading about the crazy recruiting stories taking place between the major sec powers in the early 2000s.

Down home, i.e., the boog campus in the pasture.
