Lane will never make it further than Pete made it in the playoffs. Come back in 3 years to update your list (if you haven’t killed yourself by then)
You haven't suffered enough. I'll check back when Dottery transfers to LSU.

Pete objectively was the HC that led the team to the semifinals and had a lead with a minute to go in the game no matter how much you want to reject actual reality. It happened and no amount of coping will change the fact that he was the HC for the playoff run and beat a team Kiffin couldn’t beat with the same team in the same season

Kind of like the melt you have when we end your season in consecutive Septembers. You better go to McNeese and get you a few more offensive lineman.
Posted on 1/16/26 at 1:08 pm to VivaZapata27
We just got one of your starting linemen for next year. Ole Miss and McNeese will be synonymous here soon

Dumbass piece of shite.

LSU is a stepping stone for Lane to get to Alabama.
Eh, winning a couple natties along the way would change that.
Also, based on what we're seeing in portal from Bama, there would have to be significant change.
Besides, how often do you see a national championship coach (assuming he wins one) leave and be equally as successful at their next stop? You should know this better than anyone as an Aggie.....

Kiffin quit on his team like a little bitch because he didn’t think he could beat Georgia. Pete stepped up and beat Georgia after being a head coach for 14 days. Explain that little bitch.
He left before that matchup was set and begged to coach the remainder of the season.
I get you guys hate him and are mad, seriously I do. But quit lying about the reasons and timing of his departure. He took a better job, period.

Pete has objectively done a great job so far.
Arnett did a great job between Leach dying and winning the Outback bowl. Didn't make him a great HC when he had to manage a whole season and year

He wasn’t a starter but he was in the mix. He can only play one spot either way. I saw you raiding nichols roster though.

He’s slowly making lsu the new gumps.

So he wanted his cake and to eat it too.
Definitely find it interesting he wanted to continue coaching us through the playoffs but then said he needed his assistants to campus because they needed to focus on recruiting. But he’s totally not a hypocrite or anything.

Still remember when ole Miss fans said they would match any offer and Kiffin was staying

Pete stepped up
Giving up 30+ points repeatedly but outscoring teams with Kiffins scheme and coaches is stepping up? Hell, Kiffin's offense had Miami beat as well but Golding shite the bed giving up 2 tds in the last 5 mins.

That's your stupid logic at work. Pete did nothing to "make it further"
He was a DEI hire that didn't put the team together whatsoever. He gets zero credit.
Posted on 1/16/26 at 1:46 pm to CatfishJohn
Ole Miss fans should be happy LSU overpaid for a crappy coach that was able to open the door for someone like Pete Golding to finally put them over the hump.
Posted on 1/16/26 at 1:47 pm to CatfishJohn
But…..he did quit on the team. He quite literally quit his job. Expecting us to be fine with a rival’s coach having locker room access just prior and potentially through the portal period is not realistic.
And no….Sumrall coaching Tulane is in now way shape or form Apples to Apples.
