Sarkisian is too good of an offensive mind for Manning to end up a dud. I don't think he'll be a stud either. Probably some where in the middle.

I don't think he will match the hype, but he will be good SEC QB.

Somewhere in-between. He will do great against some teams but just like his uncles in the SEC will choke it all away when it matters most

Texas is loaded at every position this year. If they don’t go undefeated and win it all, the season will be a complete disaster.

Dud. He has everything at his disposal (family, coaches & talented team), but will get exposed just like Sanders in the NFL for being a nepo baby. Average at best... but surrounded by people intent on bailing him out because he's a Manning.

A&M was loaded at every position a few years ago and did nothing.

I think he'll end up being really good, but he won't win a NC like Texas fans are hoping imo.

How about neither, but more of an unfortunate kid that's always going to be judged by the Manning name. If he turns out to be a Tim Couch type.... damn good in college but never wins a natty or a Heisman, then has a less than impressive or flop NFL career.... he will end up spend a lot of money in therapy.

Simms 2.0 without Applewhite to bail him out.

Maybe less talented than Simms, but a more famous name?

Surrounded by high talent, which may mask his shortcomings. Will throw more picks than anticipated, but will also look good against average talent as long as the WRs can bail him out.

Dud overall, but will look Middling due to surrounding talent. Press will jockride him as Stud and Heisman frontrunner until they cannot ignore his stats. Then they will regard him as Middling, but still refer to him as Heisman-quality.

Maybe a midseason injury will give him an excuse for poor execution? Anyways, their job is to hype up every game and player, cause more eyeballs on games = more $. No hate on the press for that, it is their job.

Dud. He'll end up being one of the most overrated recruits and QBs the likes of College Football has ever seen. It will go down worse than Jimmy Clausen. Complete train wreck. The media will then doubt how dumb they are for liking him just because his last name.

This simply isn't true. Texas is Bottom 5 amongst the Top 25 last year in returning production. That isn't an opinion. That was an ESPN ranking returning production of teams, so objective, not subjective. Somehow the media, the fanbase completely neglects to acknowledge the fact that Texas lost just as much as Ole Miss, Ohio St, and Oregon. They had less than 50% returning production.

Texas isn't the kind of program that can say "If they don't go undefeated, it will be a major dissapointment" as Texas hasn't been able to beat great teams aside from Bama in 2023. They need to at least show they can beat the top of the SEC first for that.

The media salivates at the idea of another Manning and Texas being good again, the combo of the two? Absolutely makes the media go asinine, see Finebaum as an example. It will be interesting to see how the media handles Texas's inevitable losses, regardless of how many there are.

Texas had the same loss in production the season before.

In 2023 they lost 3 starting WRs, starting RB and TE.

2024, Texas reloaded and still made the semis.

Sark has depth and will reload in 2025.

Between middling and stud for 2025.

I think when he comes back for his Sr. year he'll be a legit stud then.

I would be surprised if he was bad or average. He had every advantage so it’s a given that he’ll be good…how good who knows?
