They should be in this thread shortly

Sigh...if my rivals go 7-5 instead of 11-1, there's a good chance they aren't going to recruit as well (and obviously won't go to as prestigious bowl games), which would help my team. My rivals doing well in no way benefits my team. Do you think it matters that UF was bad this year when UGA beat them instead of them being good? Hell no. Instead of "UF has won x of the last y games against UGA!" now it's "UGA has won 3 in a row". That's what matters.

My team has won a combined 7 games over the last two years after winning 21 the previous two.
All I have right now is the SEC and hatred for a select few teams (OSU, FSU, Notre Dame, Texas, etc).

I used to really pull for the rest of the SEC.
But now i am not pulling for any of the other teams. I just pull for LSU and to hell with the rest.

What matters is when UGA is 11 - 1 and they beat a Gator team that finished the season 11 - 1 as well.
So when a PAC-12 team that didn't have to play anyone gets the same record, who do you think is going to go?
The reason an 11 - 1 Auburn or Bama team goes before say, an 11 - 1 FSU or Ohio State is because of the competition they play.
NCG's are important to the rest of the SEC, maybe Georgia will grab one in contemporary times. :P

It depends on the matchup. Some teams I hate, some I DGAF about and some I casually like. Bama vs. FSU? I would probably root for FSU. Auburn vs. Ohio State? I would probably root for Auburn because I'm neutral toward them and frick Ohio State.

this is a fair point
but this thread is more leaning towards the tards who are all about the SEC no matter what
fwiw I completely agree with your scenario

Kind of, with exceptions.
I'll generally pull for local/SEC/southern teams in OOC games unless they're Bama or UGA. Depending on how annoyed I am with their fans, I can see Arky, Ole Miss or TAMU making that list too. But for example, if TAMU was playing UT, I'd definitely pull for TAMU to beat up on Texas. Unless my first experience with Mizzou fans goes really badly this weekend or something, I'll pull for them if they beat AU.
Now, sometimes I don't mind seeing LSU or UF lose just for the drama, but I doubt I'd pull against them in a championship game. It's not really about SEC loyalty, I'm just familiar with those programs and might as well root for them over someone else.
