It isn't true. It was discussed at length on TexAgs earlier this week. I'd leave for the B1G for several reasons
Media contract infinitely better
A written promise that the other school cannot join is intriguing - should have gotten it in writing the first time
More money, and varied competition
We would be the only school from Texas once again
But it isn't going to happen

Ahh, yes the Alabama asterisk. Where if you beat them in September or October it doesn't count b/c it's too early in the season and if you beat them at the end it doesn't count b/c their hearts were no longer in it.

Aggy beat Bama when they had manziel at qb and didn’t even win the west. LSU and 10rc beat them a couple years ago and neither won the sec. Heck, USC and ole miss have beaten them, etc.
The Bama bump doesn’t translate to championships.
When you played them at the first of the year most here expected them to lose 3 or 4 games with Milroe at qb but he improved as the year progressed.
Stop claiming an sec championship, it makes you look less than intelligent.

But since you bring it up, I would love to be in the B1G. Grew up a MI fan. A&M would bring in far greater league revenue. By a good 20-30M/year. There is no downside.
To think recruiting would suffer? Jesus, when will the LSU fans recognizen the wonderful world of NIL. Nough said.
So if your original intent was to make us look bad (or any other team in the nation) then you are truly mentally handicap.
