LSU WOULD MAKE THE 12 TEAM PLAYOFFS SINCE IT'S OUR FINAL RANKINGS!

Yes, if these were the final rankings of 2024, LSU would be in the 12 team playoff.

nope, it is 5 conference champs and then at larges.
Looks like ACC would be EDIT:SMU not FSU here all the way back in rankings, and then you have to add a G5 champ.

So top 10 makes the playoffs plus those 2 conf champs.

Actually, they'd miss out. Using these rankings, the playoff would be:

(1) UGA
(2) Michigan
(3) Arizona
(4) SMU

(5) Alabama v. (12) Oklahoma
(6) Oregon v. (11) ND
(7) Ole Miss v. (10) Mizzou
(8) Ohio State v. (9) Texas

You'd have the top 4 ranked conference champs as 1-4. Conference champs 5 and 6 are not ranked so no Group of 5 schools this year.

SMU being the highest ranked ACC team and an automatic qualifier would kick LSU out.

Started each of the last three seasons ranked only to finish unranked, but sure, let's preseason rank them again

There is no requirement for them to be ranked. It is very likely going to a 5-7 model after the PAC12 went away. Just a formality vote from what we are being told.

But if the 5th conference champ is unranked, the CFP committee decides who would get it.

If they got the Pug Doggies and the Gumps ranked higher than Michigan, then both of those teams are LOADED...and neither one of them will hoist the Trophy without going through Michigan, trust me!

Do you not expect quite a few losses of players leaving? Possibly your coach as well?

Everything I've seen is the 6 highest ranked conference champs. I think they need to be ranked to be in.

But yes, it does seem like a 5-7 model will be in place for 2024

Oklahoma plays 6 schools in that Top 14

They just might get in at 9-3 with that schedule..

Ole Miss fans dogging a coach who did something in 1 season their program couldn’t in 31 seasons.

It definitely makes sense.

Not only am I hearing Harb's is coming back, word is JJ and Edwards may both come back, too...we have an anonymous & unnamed donor at Michigan prepared to match NIL funds to keep our kids in Ann Arbor!

Yes, we'll get hit hard on the offensive line and secondary, but everything else should be fine. With Will Johnson in the secondary, I'm not worried at all...especially if Rod Moore comes back!

Well, of course. Your team is outside the top ten.

Would be a great first year in the SEC if we go 9-3 with this schedule. Though we have the gimme in Dallas that we rarely lose so that helps.
