Oregon, I'd agree with.
But Clemson's issue was their offense looked bad against UGA. Their defense looked pretty good, but their offense looked very bad. But in their second game (against App State who often has decent non-major conference teams), Clemson's offense was VERY good.
It suggests that Clemson's issues on offense were due to UGA's defense rather than having an inept offense. It's still early days, but Clemson might be a pretty good team. UGA just might be dominant.

Having a Sun Belt team located 45 minutes south of Austin playing on campus at UT for a first round game in the new 12 team playoff would be electric...
Not that hard to compute.

Imagine losing to Ohio State in the postseason. Bama, Ole Miss, and UGA should all be ashamed of themselves for letting the conference down in this scenario

At least try and put the sentence together if you are talking about pea brains.

This is just an assumption that I'm going to say because we still have to play some teams that could beat us (Arkansas, Aggies, OU) but if Texas plays Georgia twice (Regular season and SEC Championship) it would be a shame to make them play in the semis instead of the actual finals.

Iowa State won by 1 point against Iowa and they have them as the #4 seed. Idiots run these predictions.

It's also going to suck when something like this happens.
Georgia beats Texas 10/19
Georgia beats Texas in the SEC Championship
Texas beats Georgia in the Semifinals or Finals
or vice versa..
That's going to be a good melt though.. Hopefully it isn't me melting..
At some point, does a coach hold something back in the regular season and/or SEC Championship because they know they are likely to play them again in the Playoffs?
Interesting times indeed..

This scenario is something I'm dreading and something that absolutely WILL happen at some point in the expanded playoffs (not specifically these teams obviously). it's just utterly nonsensical and flies in the fact of all logic and reason.

Playing a team for a 3rd time happens at a decent chunk in the NFL Playoffs.. so I guess this is where we are.. I don't really know how to avoid it though.
What if there was a rule for the SEC Championship?
If the Top 2 teams played in the regular season, the winner of that game is the SEC Champ when their record is the same, or the #1 team is the SEC Champ when their records are not the same. Therefore the SEC Game reverts to the #2 and #3 team playing for 2nd Place..

Tennessee would destroy Clemson and Alabama would make Oregon look like a highschool team

Yeah right....Tennessee will lose to Clemson.
Beat them like a drum with Milton at QB...but will lose now.

Actually, you probably would...they have a defense and Fat josh doesn't do well against teams with a defense

This stuff is way too early to even discuss prior to many teams playing their first conference games.
Prior to last week… Michigan would have been in there.

Seems legit
We routed Clemson when we had Milton behind center and a shitty defense.
Now we have N1cO and a solid defense.
Yeah, seems legit

That feels like a huge stretch.
I mean, App State had more scoring drives against Clemson by half time than UGA did. I personally wouldn't take that to mean App State's offense is better than UGA's, but when you use App State as a ruler to measure how good UGA's defense is, well...

Iowa State and Clempson? C'mon man

Focus on full time. What Clemson did in that game was otherworldly.
