Due to Sankey’s weakness we have a system with no accountability whatsoever. When the announcers are saying they missed that call, that’s a bad call, or the coach had a point, etc all game long that is fricking unacceptable.

They are completely incompetent, so much so that when we get to playoffs and have normal refs for a few games we lose. Every time recently, or so I hear. (Being LSU I can’t act usually sat for sure)

Not saying that is why anyone lost, Kentucky got shite calls, so did Georgia. Just saying this shite is out of control.

Whether they are corrupt too, is a separate issue, but they are so incompetent they are probably too stupid to rig games. You have to have skill to do that. Enough already

It has been terrible for years.

With all the money in cfb right now, refs really need to be paid like professionals and constantly training.

I agree I don’t actually think they are fixing games, I just think they fricking stink.

And they kind of always have in CFB.

Western Michigan isn’t in the SEC.
Missouri’s 5th down vs Colorado wasn’t an SEC game.

CFB has always been incredibly inconsistently officiated. Sometimes part of the game, but it sucks when you feel like it costs you in a big game.

Any other team besides bama I would feel bad for em.

Officiating in ALL of college football is terrible. It's not exclusive to the SEC.

Greedy arse bastards in the NCAA / SEC offices refuse to pay refs much more than the person that hands you your hotdogs at the games.

Yeah, officiating is why yall lost

In b4 I said it’s not - but it is, and your entire board was claiming it during the game

They are pretty fricking bad but it's an issue that goes across the sport. For how much money football makes it's embarrassing how bad the officiating has become.

It's not because of Greg Sankey. It's because NCAA football officials aren't professionals in the classic sense. They do this shite part time, they have real jobs and they're independent contractors. They're not on the same level as NFL officials.

College football is getting what it pays for, and what it's paying for is a part time, substandard product. It's a college football problem. Not a Greg Sankey problem.

If it’s unacceptable. Then stop watching the games. ESPN and the conference commissioners will get the message.

Their incompetence stems from a lack of full time dedication and study. Not a failure of intellect or laziness. This is a paid, glorified hobby for them.

That's an important point for everyone to remember. LSU and Kentucky, and Alabama and Georgia shared the exact same officiating crew.

They're not corrupt. Fixing a college football game is a felony. Nobody's risking prison time over a part-time job. This dumb shite was borne from LSU's chronic victim complex.

They're not stupid. They're just not allowed to be dedicated.

I haven't watched an NFL game in close to a decade, but I seem to recall NFL officials blowing calls, too.

You need athletes to be able to stay up with athletes. Most refs are unable & miss calls in the process.

I agree go full time, pay well, & you'll attract much better
