"Arkansas"

OK, How about scoring 42 against Florida with a time of possession of only 21:41? Over 500 yards of offense. Florida had the ball for 38:19 and still lost by two touchdowns. Basically, I am saying that time of possession doesn't mean anything with this LSU team.

Cook needs to get the ball in space and he could be a game changer. With Swift banged up, he should get more touches. Just hope they don't try to run him up the middle too much.

LSU didn't lose to Alabama in 2011, they actually beat them in Tuscaloosa.

Pretty sure you knew I was talking about the 2011 season but whatever.

I retract what I said about TOP, because you right, this LSU team doesn't play the TOP game.

I don't think anyone is saying that Georgia doesn't have a chance in this game. That would be extremely naive

You have a lot of naive fans on here then

Our offense might be suspect at times, but we are NOT fricking Arkansas. This is why we keep labeling your fans delusional. You bring in arguments that compare us to the worst team in the SEC.

56 points in 19:31 is impressive though!!

Georgia’s only chance is to run the ball and shorten the game. LSU wins big if it turns into a track meet.

That absolutely is their gameplan. They ran the ball reasonably well against LSU last year in the first half and gashed LSU on a few double digit yardage plays. LSU has generally defended against the run well, but there is a very glaring exception in Najee Harris' performance in the 3rd quarter for Bama agaisnt us this year.

The difference vs. that game IMO is LSU has the luxury of using the secondary a lot more in the box to defend against the run with Delpit and Stevens, whereas against Bama they obviously had to worry a lot more about their 3rd and 4th WRs. Also the recent emergence of Maurice Hampton as a reliable DB helps.

Florida held the ball for 38:19 and LSU still scored 42 points and ran up over 500 yards of offense on them in only 21:41 time of possession. Time of possession doesn't work against this LSU team. The only thing that might work is keeping up with their ability to score points. I do not think Georgia's offense is built to do this. For Georgia to have a chance in this game they need to get LSU to turn the ball over and simply make mistakes to the extent that Georgia can keep it a contest.

No, it wouldn't be anything like losing in the NATIONAL championship to a team LSU already beat in the regular season on their way to the conference championship.

Losing this weekend would be much more like losing the 2005 SCCCG. LSU went into that game ranked in the top 3 nationally, and got beat badly by an underdog UGA team.

...but I'm pretty sure you already knew all this.

Sure it would. It would be extremely painful to watch UGA upset the tigers when you guys think you're going to win by 50+ points and it would likely knock you guys out of the playoffs.

Or how about if/when LSU gets a 2TD lead........play action will not work. Fromm will throw at least 2 ints in this game while trying to come back. LSU 38-17...

This.

Not to mention, # of plays was 84 to 48 in favor of UF.

48 plays, 21 minutes, and 42 points.

Can you imagine the melt on here if little ole UGA pulls off a miraculous victory. It would rival their loss to Bama in the 2011

I think they may be even more devastated.

Fromm threw for 300+ and 3 td’s against a better bama defense last year in the SECC. I doubt they use a similar game plan given the injury issues at receiver, but it’s not like LSU’s defense has been stout this year.

I don’t know of any sane LSU fan that thinks the Tigers win by 50. I do think LSU wins in a close one.

This is a better more meaningful example.

LSU had the ball for 20:56 VS the gators. Tigers scored 42.
