I mean who told the ref that threw the flag he didn’t see what he thought he saw?
This crew seriously needs to answer for their work on the field and be suspended!

because they thought it wasn't DPI.

The entire roster of SEC officials should be shite canned. They are the worst in the country. How we can have so many resources and so much money and still have officials that would have difficulty reffing a peewee game is beyond me.

Beyond that, they whiffed on targeting, whiffed on several hands to the face/face masks and a few other missed calls.

The whole concept of conference officials is dumb. It just asks for corruption.

The play where Williams got concussed was a face mask also.

They never threw a flag. ESPN flashed the flag graphic because they just assumed it. But none of the zebras threw it.

There was a facemask on EJ Crowell that wasn't called.

An interception nulled.

A DPI not called.

On the bright side, if you zoom out we've had a lot of calls go our way in big games. Like that punt in the National Championship.

I'd rather have a fricked no call DPI in a regular season game than in the playoffs/natty

I mean if you want the truth there was a facemask on the sack of Russell on the last possession. But I mean we just couldn’t get the call and couldn’t make the play.

Officiating that bad has to be deliberate.

Worst since 2022 Tennessee.

A blown call...fine, but tonight was simply unacceptable.

I don't think a flag was ever thrown. I think Fowler jumped the gun and so did the ESPN graphics crew because it looked so blatant.

Because some slimy bastard somewhere had money on the game. There’s no way you are allowed to be a collegiate official and be that stupid. It’s the only logical explanation for me.

The SEC really needs to open up their reviews for TV coverage. No idea how they overturned that and especially so quickly.

I want to see the best angle they used that they thought it hit the ground

The quickness of that review was inexplicable considering it takes them 3 minutes on the actual obvious ones... there was never an angle that showed that ball hit the ground, in fact it confirmed more with each look that magically it somehow stayed on his forearm

Exactly. Let’s see what they saw. At the least to protect themselves. That looked deliberate

And then you have asshat Matt Austin immediately chiming in that it "clearly hit the ground" while both Fowler and Herbstreit are encouraging him to look closer and not rush to judgement because they agreed it appeared to somehow never hit the ground
