I'll break it down for you:

They won a lot of games. They kept winning and winning.

Then they lost some really important ones.

Now their season is over because they lost in the playoffs.

That clear it up for you?

All joking aside, I believe the psychological pressure of living up to their incredible playing all season long...coming down to 1 game...they just mentally crashed.

That, along with the fact ND came to play...well, it happens sometimes.

They flew too close to the sun and the NCAA and umpires fricked them. It is sad honestly. Those young men did absolutely nothing wrong. Everyone is just jealous of the Vols and their constant superiority.

ND is a good pitching and fielding team, but they aren't nearly on our level talent wise. The upcoming MLB drafts will prove that.

More like they didn’t have enough in their britches. Hell of a melt, just didn’t have enough when it mattered most.

They definitely seemed like as close of a lock for Omaha as you can imagine. Similar to the Hogs last season, though I think the Vols were more dominant throughout the season this year.

I'll be interested to see how Vitello manages into next year. Will the shenanigans remain, will he tone it down a bit? Will he start wearing an XL cup for extra intimidation when he PP bumps the umpires?

I would like to see him own it and keep melting the rant. As long as he keeps players like Gilbert in check, im all for it. You can still be brash and cocky but play with discipline at the same time.

Lane Kiffin was similarly demonized by the rant and sports media when he first arrived at Tennessee and talked a lot shite.

You guys don't remember his infamous awkward encounter with Spurrier in SEC media days.

Urban Myer particularly hated Kiffin.

Hogs were more dominant. Look at all the highly ranked teams the Hogs beat, most on the road. And the Hogs won every sec series. tennafluke didn't and played a patsy schedule.

Tennessee didn’t have to play A&M, Arkansas or LSU during the season. That’s 5 or 6 losses added to their schedule right there if they played us baws.

Tennessee Baseball was pretty damn stout this year. We can’t take that away from that bag of douches.

However!! The SEC did not produce the talented teams we usually do. We had a lot of teams well off their mark and I think that led to making this Tennessee team look better than they were.

And I’ll go on and say the baseball Gods just couldn’t allow a group of complete assholes from the University down to the mustard tossing crappy fan base to proceed to Omaha.

They threw everything into winning a meaningless conference tournament and didn't rest up for the main event. They didn't have it in the tank when needed leading to their egos imploding.
