If and when NCAA investigators find clear and convincing evidence of major rules violations committed by a football program whose coach previously worked for and with Emmert at another educational institution?

Won't happen, they are too close. Saba has photos. Of Emm.

I think what he's saying is that LSU and Bama are good to go as far as any future "major" NCAA issues while Emmert is in charge.
And FWIW, I agree.
No way Emmert ever lets Bama (with Saban) or LSU get in any major trouble, if he has any say in the matter.
at all the schools that don't have close personal ties with Emmert.
That said, generally-speaking, I think Emmert is good for the SEC as a whole....I'd much rather Emmert than someone that grew up with tons of Big10 roots.

I don't think that it is just those two. With the bad press that USCw got when they went down and the Penn State debacle, i think that the NCAA will go on full protection mode for all the major programs to avoid bad press.
I really think that a deal was struck during the Cam investigation for Cecil to say he shopped him just to end it. They didn't want to go through the USCw shite again and they couldn't keep Auburn out of the championship game at that point.

I doubt it. I think he is probably an fairly honest guy but he wouldn't do shite to Saban unless the violation was just in your face type shite.

These things have to be spread out. Miami, UNC and Oregon are keeping the NCAA busy. Their will be an SEC team soon.

that's a huge crock of shite. i guess you could also say that emmert would be after auburn, florida, etc because they are lsu opponents. if face, i would think that if anything big comes up, he will probably go out of his way to not show favoritism.

Actually by doing what they should of done- declaring Newton ineligible the moment his father admitted he shopped him around- they most certainly could have. Did they want to from a money perspective- no way. Somewhere in the background Morricone's "The Ecstasy of Gold" is playing....

Describe "shopped around" and show a link that proves Cecil shopped Cam around.
Talking money with one school doesn't constitute shopping around.
The NCAA already said they based this investigation on proof and not internet gossip, and MSU was the only school who admitted to talking money with Cecil.
I'm sure you want one of your players to be ruled ineligible simply on the basis of your rivals hoping he did something wrong.
