re: What team has the 2nd largest number of pathetic sidewalk fans?

Maybe Arkansas. If so, its sidewalk alumni might outnumber those who actually earned a diploma from that university.

Laughable for two reasons: (1) USCw has too many injuries and not enough depth; (2) AR will never, in any given year, be able to beat LSU, UA and AU. ForgetAboutIt.
Can Mark Emmert be objective:

If and when NCAA investigators find clear and convincing evidence of major rules violations committed by a football program whose coach previously worked for and with Emmert at another educational institution?

It seems doubtful that he'll be able to pass the NCAA's scrutiny, when his eligibility to attend UA comes up for review. Don't be surprised if UA withdraws its scholarship offer, eventually.
re: Would we ever hear the end of it if Michigan beat Bama?

Remember, in the minds of most Gumps and some members of the media, when Bama loses it wasn't beaten by the other team. Instead, Bama beat itself. To these people, Bama losing is an oxymoron.

It will never happen. He lied to AR's AD.

One of those loses could be to the Vols. Good luck. Incidentally, UT deserves, and will eventually get, a better coach than Dooley.

Be honest, isn't there an invisible wall of separation between those AU fans who earned a diploma from AU and AU's sidewalk alumni?

USCw has too many injuries already and as more of them occur, their lack of depth will probably keep them from going to Miami. Don't be surprised if the Gumps lose as many as 3 games.
One lesson TM7 seemed to have learned better than anyone else.

Coaches are constantly reminding defensive players to always be around the ball. This is a lesson that didn't seem to be lost on Mathieu, and it had a lot to do with why he was such an opportunistic player. If that is his only legacy to his former teammates, it will be a very valuable one.

If the toothbrush had been invenyed anywhere except Alabama, it would be known as the teethbrush.
Bama allegedly has a world-class OL, but what about its RBs?
Posted by LSUBSJD on 8/17/12 at 2:57 pm
Clearly, Lacy is not in the same league (and I don't mean the NFL) with Richardson and Ingram. If Lacy gets injured, what is the quality of their replacement RBs?

The Gumps have a lot of class. Unfortunately, it's all low.

14? Only Gump numerology gets you to that number.

The word you meant to use was forgo, not forego.
When Bama loses, many of its fans imitate Fast Eddie Felson.

In the movie "The Hustler" Fast Eddie Felson (Paul Newman) said the following to Minnesota Fats (Jackie Gleason): I'm the best you ever seen, Fats. I'm the best there is. Even if you beat me, I'm the best."
