Short answer is yes.

Long answer is we must play UK football. Good D, effective run game, mix in the pass enough to keep pounding the rock. Keep the ball in our hands and beat them (if not bore them) into submission. Cats win if they play like they did against UT and MSU, no question. Play like the 2nd half of the AU game, and it could be ugly. I wouldn’t want to see a repeat of the Ole Miss game either... we could trade punches, but a shootout favors Mizzou.

I agree. Whoever can dictate the game style has the best chance to win. Higher scoring and Mizzou has the edge. Lower scoring and give the edge to Kentucky.

I expect a physical game and our guys know they haven’t beat Kentucky in way too damn long.

Weak answer but whoever wins the turnover battle wins IMO.

What if there are no turnovers in this game? Or the turnovers are equal on both teams?

Should be a good game, but I think Drinkiwitz needs a couple of good recruiting classes. We are very thin at WR and OL. I would think you win by at least a touchdown, but who the hell knows this year.

They’re not a bad football team and they play hard. They just don’t have the players to compete against teams that are elite on one side of the ball or the other.

I got a tip from a gentleman at YouTube sports and he told me the team who scored the most points has the best odds.

Kentucky has the #3 defense in the conference.

Guess we are about to see if we have the players lol

Mizzou is clearly a dangerous team. I’ve heard the key will be for defensive players to know their jobs and stick to them and ignore the Tigers’ misdirection. It sounds to me like things will be about the Wildcats’ defense versus the Mizzou O. I think the offense rolls and should produce a comfortable amount of points. Hopefully the Cats get an average performance from special teams. If so, I think Kentucky leaves with the W. But to reiterate, Mizzou is dangerous.

Same way I feel OMD. Honestly I think this is the kinda game where we need the Mark Stoops vanilla special. Dont get cute or ballsy. Just control that TOP and LOS. If our secondary is as froggy as theyve been so far I say make em pass.

Yeah, i think this is it. And Gran sometimes can be baited into throwing the ball more than he should.

That fight is one thing our team didn't have under Odom. Once we got down in a game it was over. I will give credit to Drinkwitz for instilling the no quit and focus on the next play mentality that he has got the guys to buy into. Its half the battle at the college level, just moving on to the next play.

You hit the nail on the head, I think. I was just goofing with you on another thread earlier - Mizzou has a very capable offense and I don't like the Cayts in a shootout either. The problem I see is that, if Kentucky get a lead, the Stoops / Gran brain-trust will get extremely conservative as always, so I don't see the Tigers ever being truly out of this game.

Kentucky has always benefited from an extremely tight Mizzou game plan in the past, and that won't be the case with Drink. Looks to me like you folks have the right guy in charge. I won't be surprised if Kentucky gets an L this weekend.

I wouldn't. This is a dangerous game for Kentucky, coming off an emotional win. Could be a flat spot. Mizzou is also coming off a big win, but they had a bye week in between.

I could honestly seeing it go either way. I think there are still some questions surrounding Mizzou.

Kentucky's D is legit and I am just not 100% confident that Mizzou can put up points against them. I think it'll be a close fun game, and that's always exciting.
