Can both schools agree to not use UT anymore?

shite is confusing. Especially in a thread that references both.
When it’s a fan from another school, I have to think about what school they hate in order to figure out who UT is and isn’t…

I don’t see the confusion. There’s UT and then there’s UTA.

Only the original school is allowed to use it. Tennessee shouldn't have to change just because the SEC is allowing Texas in.

I say we use UT for the hillbillies and then TX just to piss off the dildo team

I propose TN and TX
Everybody good with that? Great. It’s settled then.

We're founders. Texas can go by Texas or UTA.

UT is for Tennessee.
Don’t care what you call the people from that school 90 miles west of College Station.

This for sure. Tennessee is the first and only UT in the SEC. I prefer to go with TU for Texas, but UTA, TX or just Texas is fine. But UT is and will always mean Tennessee when it comes to the SEC. The steers will just have to deal with it.

Tennessee's two decades of suckage means they are losing their Big Six status and relegated to the kids table. Until something changes I think Texas is UT and 10erC is UTk or UTjr.
Maybe the only way to settle it is on the field. Loser gets UTjr

This is correct.
Their official name is the University of Texas at Austin.

what about UA?
Just like UT for Tennessee, UA has been and forever will be Alabama when it comes to the SEC. Auburn is AU, and Arkansas is AR or Arky.

Nope. We were here 1st (by almost a century) had our 1st football season before and are a founding member of the SEC.
UT= Tennessee
Texas can bu TU, TX, or UT the lesser.

I think Jimmie Rodgers made it quite clear when referring to the two universities in song.
tea for Texas, T for Tennessee
