Never happened once. REC checks don't bounce.

eta-honest answer: you usually have to be in position to lose to get "really screwed" by a bad call. Bama hasn't been in that position very often during the last 10 years.

They don't have to be screwed. They dominate everyone for it to be competitive.

Over the last several years our opponents have been penalized less against us than anyone in the SEC.

First, I agree there are calls (most recently in LSU rivalry history on the Hurts run for a TD) that Bama has gotten away with. It happens for both sides every game day.

That said, Bama has missed some big calls in conference as well. Likely none bigger the GoTC Pt1

William's in control of ball feet from ground; Reid one hand on William's waist and one on William's wrist and ball

Williams near impact with ground; still in possession; Reid hand placement no change

Williams down; appearance of dual possesion; ruled INT.
Replay could not overturn

Huge play in a a defensive struggle. Easily could have gone Bama's way outright or through rule interpretation. Instead, LSU took over and the rest is history.

Bad call for Bama and good call for LSU. Either way it didn't take away from a great game. Schit happens. Sometimes you just have to roll with it. But, to say Bama gets all the big calls is ridiculous and only looking at it through an anti-bama lens.

Going back and honestly watching games from both sides opens you up to see it generally goes both ways. We, fans, just imprint the moments that generate the more significant emotional reaction, which shapes our reality.

This. Unlike the LSU tinfoil hat conspiracies, this is an actual fact.

There was that time in the 50s when a RB broke free for a long run vs Bama but one of their reserve LB came off the bench to save the tackle. Those dirty POS refs awarded the RB the TD anyway even though it wasn't the LB fault he had too much Bama in him

Bama lost that game because of that call

Listen guy,

We are the Kings. Kings play by a different set of rules. I don't know that to tell you, life isn't fair.

I sorta remember Auburn's entire offensive line being blatantly downfield on their tying TD in 2013, no flag anywhere.

Ole miss got away with something similar in 15.

If you'll notice fans only remember bad calls from losses. We haven't lost much the past decade.

Pretty easy. In the 2013 Iron Bowl, Arie Kouandijo was called for a phantom false start penalty after Cade Foster made a field goal early in the fourth quarter that should have put Bama up 24-21. After the “false start” penalty, Cade Foster missed the field goal that would have broken the tie. The 99 yard TD pass from McCarron to Cooper should have given Alabama a 10 point lead. Instead, it only gave Bama a seven point lead and well we all know what ended up happening after that.

In the second pic Reid is getting his hand placed on the ball. In the third pic, Bama receiver has lost the ball with his right hand and both players possess the ball with one hand. Not sure what happened immediately but evidently Reid came up with the ball and it stood because no evidence was available to overturn it. Not a good example of Bama getting screwed.

Not sure what happened immediately afterward but evidently Reid came up with the ball and it stood because no evidence was available to overturn it. Not a good example of Bama getting screwed. Your statement in the 2nd pic of Reids hand placement no change is incorrect.

There was no flag bc at the time the ball was thrown the lineman were within the the allowed distance to be past the LOS.

It was an incredibly well executed and strategically brilliant play back before Gus forgot how to coach and call plays.

I swear Gus ever since the missed snap fumble vs Texas A&M in 2014 is like Coach Klein from Waterboy after he had his playbook stolen

Different angle less than a split second from contact with the ground.

Williams has 2 hands on ball. Reid actually has none. And, one hand still on the waist.

definitive view for possession is William's shoulder down, left hand STILL firmly in control, right hand on ball, and Reid still with only one hand on ball (actually only one extended finger attempting to control ball at that moment). It is a catch and possession outright by Williams or by rule to the WR if dual possession were to be interpreted.

It was a game changing bad call against Bama, in Tuscaloosa. But, the schit happens in games. Refs aren't perfect and neither are available replay angles all the time.

Much like the imaginary face mask, no-push push off, and bad PI calls in Lsu's favor vs MSU, bad calls occur. It's not always a conspiracy

I'm not conspiracy theorist, but the argument would be the calls on your opponents are the ones which are game changing. It doesn't have to be loads of penalties, it is the timing and game changing factor that which applies.

Eric Reid INT:

And you Gumps lost your frickin minds and whined and bitched for weeks on this one. I have never seen nor heard that level of butthurt by any fan base, including LSU over White.
