That’s too much mileage for an injury prone RB with not every good stats, with historically bad lateral quickness.

Let’s take that as fact, and now it makes sense he shouldn’t be drafted.

But you are saying that the 1700 yards over 3 seasons and straight line speed is enough to be drafted over RBs that are probably the same size, faster, and jitter bugs? Hmm

The 1700 came from a single season. He's got nearly 4k scrimmage yards in
total

Injuries are the concern here.

Im a fan of Rocket. But he only played us like once bc he was injured by our game, and we used to play Arkansas early in the season too.

1. Who said 1700 yards over three seasons? That was very clear in the post.

2. It's day 3. How many players in rounds 6-7 actually stay on a team. Those are picks that are likely fails any way. I don't think you guys understand how unlikely it is for players in rounds 6 to 7 to ever contribute. Some of them don't make it on the roster for the start of the season. Who is he being drafted over? Another bunch of RBs that are UDFAs? I mean he could've been the last RB drafted. I just said it's hard to understand he wasn't drafted. Again "wasn't drafted". Not that he didn't go on day 2. Geeze.

We had Trayveon Williams run for 1700 in 2018. He went in the 6th. Still on the Bengals.

The difference is that Williams had 2 1,000 yard seasons, and his best year was his draft year. Not injury prone. And that only got him to the 6th round.

Rocket is more like Judkins, but Judkins never rushed under 1k his whole career. Yeah, he got 1,500 as a freshman, but he didn’t have a season under 1k even with injuries.

this was a weird year for draft picks ........people are taking alot into consideration and production in college goes down the list.

Did he have off field stuff

I never heard anything but good about his character. I assume he's a good guy, but certainly don't know.

His last season at Arkansas wasn't very good. Maybe the scouts felt like he's lost a little due to the injuries. At times, he looked pretty good last season. I think he also spent a little time banged up.

Who knows why he went undrafted.

Nothing against him personally at all. It just seems that he and KJ decided to eat their way out of productivity their last season here which led to a 4-8 season. I don’t know why they both fell off like that but it was very disappointing. Maybe they didn’t care for Enos and his offense but everything went to shite.

I wish him the best though, he did good at South Carolina, KJ not so much where he went.

Apparently, his shuttle and 3cone drills at his pro day would have historically both been in the bottom 10% of running backs at the combine.

Rocket almost 100 yards from scrimmage last year. How many SEC backs did that last year?
I'll answer it for you: 2.

Sanders finished third among SEC RBs in YFS.

Three and the other two got pretty decent draft capital.

Why even bring up Judkins. Again, that's a day two, almost day one pick. That's a silly comparison. I'm not arguing he should've gone in the second round here.

I would almost guarantee you that you'd have to look back a bunch of years to find an SEC back that ran under a 4.5 forty at over 210 pounds and had two 1000 yards from scrimmage years that was a UDFA.

He was projected to be a fifth round pick.

This is why he should go day 3, not UDFA. Most backs don't even run that stuff any more.

RBs generally don't get drafted as high as they use to be.

It's a rough position with a short life expectancy in the NFL.
