Probably. Clausen is just the starter by default really. Neither of them is "the guy" right now. I'm sure the coaches want Cam to win the job though, since Clausen is horrible. As long as he plays decently, he'll probably be named the starter by the 2nd or 3rd preseason game.

He'll need to step it up this year. Panthers are strong at TE, RB, and on the line - from what I've heard and seen... We'll have to see if they catch the injury bug this year again.

I really think Cam has the ability but he will struggle something awful this year if he gets to play much

I remember when Mel Kiper's head almost exploded when Jimmy Clausen didn't get picked until 40th or so. All he would talk about was how great Clausen was. Kiper almost lost his mind when Tebow got picked before him.
