You don't seem to understand the difference between beating the spread as an underdog vs winning the game.

I understand the difference clearly. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose. But Auburn almost always shows up in big games at home. Just ask Nick Saban.

2023: Bama was a 13 point favorite; Bama won by 3.
2021: Bama was a 20.5 point favorite; Bama won by 2.
2019: Bama was a 3.5 point favorite; Auburn won by 3.
2017: Bama was a 5 point favorite; Auburn won by 12.
2015: Bama was a 15 point favorite. Bama won by 16.
2013: Bama was a 10 point favorite. Auburn won by 6.
2011: Bama was a 21.5 point favorite. Bama won by 28.
2009: Bama was a 10 point favorite. Bama won by 5.

Against Bama during Saban’s tenure, Auburn was 3-5 straight up inside Jordan Hare despite being an underdog every time. Auburn was 6-2 against the spread, beating the spread on average by 8.25 points.

And this was when we were mostly terrible… just wait until we’re back to having comparable talent.

I look forward to those dark November days when reality is setting in for most of you, and OU is staring down their 10th win like always.

SEC road game with a new QB who is an interception machine. It’s certainly possible.

Did we just scrimmage them?

You probably should. You aren't going to improve much by scrimmaging against your own crappy players.

Does anyone remember the score of the uat - Louisiana Monore score from the midget's first year?

And the same team that lost to New Mexico was one brain dead defensive call (and a blatant push off) away from beating the mighty crimpson tahd last year.

Glass houses...

Who's Auburn's starting QB?

Yep, I arrest my case.

Buddy the days of playing Iowa State and Kansas have come to a screaming halt. You won’t sniff 10 wins this season.

I imagine they are too young to remember that. Either that or they are just being willfully ignorant.

I count this is as OU’s first SEC game. Tenner at home ok. Been there done that got a few t-shirts. OU is a better team than Auburn but this one will have some smoke.

ULM 21-14 aided by several TOs and went deep into 4th quarter.

NM State ran AU off the field and was clearly the better team. The games were not comparable.

Also one game was 9 months ago and the other nearly 17 years ago so you are grasping at straws and has ZERO relevance to today's landscape

Yes, but your example is Alabama... The Iron Bowl...the greatest rivalry in the world.

Oklahoma ain't no big thang.. As far as Auburn is concerned...it might as well be somebody like say.????.................New Mexico State coming to town.

This will be a great close game. Don't think there's much to draw from OK going 10-3 against their schedule last year and don't think there's much to draw from Freeze's first year with the worst roster in Auburn history.

I'd say auburn is in for a big wake-up call this year but they already have 3 losing seasons in a row so they can't really go much lower.
