Agreed, and you're talking to a guy here that was born in Cal and spent both formative and older years there.

They don't want to pay all those taxes when they cash that big check and also have bonus checks from games. You get more bang for your buck in all those places.

Helton is a dead man walking. Chip probably is too and he also makes even Mullen look like Saban when it comes to recruiting.

When you won't commit to your coach, recruiting is problematic. When USC has their shite together they rule SoCal recruiting.

You can’t say things like “Commifornia” to kids who are 16 and 17 years old. They don’t know the world yet. Their parents are maybe responsible for the economic disparity out there. Is California in a downward spiral of socioeconomic status where there’s just haves and have nots? Yeah probably. But it’s still the most populous state by a large margin. The problem is the soccer mom mentality out there that football is too dangerous and the kids in high school out there who love the game don’t want to hear about it. I don’t blame them. Go to the Southeast and the Midwest, where football is like religion on Saturdays. I have no problem with that. But the lefties out there need to soften their stance on football’s dangers because there are a lot of sports where kids will get concussions for crying out loud.

Just moved to a St. Louis suburb from San Diego earlier this year... had been out there since '91.
Soccer has 5x the presence of football in CA youth sports... baseball and softball are well ahead of football as well.
I don't necessarily disagree with the increased presence of soccer, but do agree it has just as much risk of concussions as football at the higher levels.

College football. Nfl football seems to do alright in the big liberal cities like SF or Seattle. Actually better than alright.

Isn’t Burton actually from GA though? Still a lot of misses for them either way.

Well they cant really afford to live in the world they've created anymore so now they're moving to Texas and trying to make it unlivable as well. I think they're working on doing the same to Denver.

Cali crowd hasn't really dented Denver or CO in general yet, certainly jacked up the Austin market.

Great place to recruit though, lot less headache$ with these kids.

There’s a reason why neighboring states out West don’t want them around when it comes to permanent resettlement. The real estate markets price a ton of middle class people out when the wealthy Californians decide to move into a neighborhood. Saw this when we visited Las Vegas over the years. Also I have a cousin and she married a guy from Oregon. They cringe when a large community of Californians move up to their areas because everything is insanely expensive and the local laws become anti-common sense with their mentality when they infiltrate school boards and local elected seats. An entitled scary breed they are.

USC is recruiting far more clean than before in the glory day’s and it shows in rankings. What’s that tell you about the SEC? It tells you Ole Miss made the best coaching hire possible. If you aren’t cheating big time you are going to be losing.

we managed to sew up 1/3rd of our top 15 recruits in state.

But the telling question is what other schools recruited those five that signed with yall? That's how I base my opinion on recruits.

USC should have hired Urban mid-season. This class is a huge setback.
