Burrow has had a great advantage. He is not bothered by being a student.

Says he hasn't set foot on most of the campus. He is and has been more like a full time NFL player. Why? Because he got busy and finished his degree and graduated from Ohio St before he left. He is as SI, put it, in grad school lite. Has a couple of "make work" student on line courses and you can be sure has help with those. He has been a full time football player for 2 years and it shows. Of course he has improved but having football 24/7 for 2 years and not having the distraction of classes has really paid off. Another interesting fact mentioned before. His dream school was always Nebraska where his father and 2 bothers played. But the last two NU coaches passed on him. Once out of HS and then Frost as a transfer. Idiots they are.

Was stated last week that Justin Fields also is enrolled in only online classes.

He’s actually getting his Masters degree soon. Not really just sitting around doing football 24/7.

He has his degree and will get a grad degree too. College prepares you for the real world. His real world is football. Everyone thought it was awesome how all Matt Leinhart had to do his senior year was take Ballroom Dancing. And that was for an undergrad degree. Undergrad from OSU and grad from LSU with #1 overall pick in the NFL draft isn't a bad way to start out in the world come April.

Both Fields & Hurts fall into this category as well.

He would have had to sit out a year last year and lose a year if he hadn't gotten a degree from Ohio St
It was before they changed the transfer rules

Online courses are trending and more available at most universities now especially for graduate level work where majority of students are working on top of going to school

Choices. He could have stayed at Ohio St and been an UDFA at best and now he's a Heisman front runner, Top 5 NFL pick leading an undefeated team to the CFP.

Didn't he already have his undergrad before he left Ohio State? This is an invalid thread.

We should go this route with at least every qb but maybe even whole team

I remember back in the day when the only class Matt Leinart was enrolled in was Ballroom Dancing. Unfortunately, it did not give him enough of an advantage to beat Vince Young.

I've know enough D1 football players to understand that most of them are not bothered by being a student.

And that Neb coaches passed on him but UM saw something says a lot about Meyer's ability to spot talented QB's.

Yes. He cranked out his degree in 3 years with a full football schedule as well.

Yeah if he had to go to class he would have probably only thrown for 2,000 yards and 22 TD's.It would have just been too much for him and totally diminished his talent level.

We can tell from your posting that you don’t have a college degree so not sure what you’d know about the situation

I got my Masters and only had to set foot once in a classroom for one Semester one hour a week.
