Well, we sucked. Only 2 SEC teams we beat were Tennessee and Vandy, so thanks to that state for helping us out. When you fire your coach it is normally a rough season and that certainly is the case.

We have some really good players here and there, so we will see if this team can come together in the off season and make 2022 at least a little better. Sometimes these big culture change coaches need a year to find their sea legs like Saban and Meyer, but sometimes they can come in and win right away like Spurrier and Mullen. I think Napier is trying to be more in the first crowd type coach.

Glad to see this season over so we can move on to basketball. Whoops, I misspelled baseball.

Total shitshow. In many ways, the worst of the last 50 years. Clown show shite show run by children. Well- deserved too apparently.

Really happy we finally got our offensive coordinator. Good recruiting class. Things are trending in the right way.

12-2 - could’ve easily been the worst season record wise since 2007. Hell of a coaching job by Saban to make it as far as we did.

With what we have returning, good momentum heading into 2022.

We should have never gotten Jahmir Johnson from the transfer portal. The best game our offensive line had all season was when he wasn't in the lineup.

Best defense since 1993 ruined by the worst offense since 1998.

I love our offense (someone is always open) but it's got to stop taking the 2nd Q off.

Our defense was pretty terrible *but* did better than expected. There's simply not much talent there.

Overall: I think we've got a guy who can actually coach which is a step up for us. IDK, what his ceiling is but it's going to be capped until we start recruiting in the top 5.

I thought we'd be lucky to hit 5 wins so I'm pleased with this season. It's the best year 1 we've had since Kiffin (who also got to 7 wins in year 1) and Heupel had the best year 1 regular season of all coaches nationally with the toughest schedule of the bunch. Hard not to like that.

The only saving grace is Orgeron and his little turd P are fired.

2022 won't be a great year. 2023 should be better

Disappointing. There were certainly some bright spots but there is no way to spin 8-4 as a positive. The biggest thing is we had talent but not depth and nothing showed that more than losing our QB in Game 2. The way we lost some of those games was really disappointing as well, all 4 were winnable. Realistically though we could have lost others so we were what we were. We need better QB and WR play if we want to take the next step, period. Bama game was awesome and was critical to showing progress but we have to improve next year with anything less than 10-2 as a significant problem. The recruiting class is obviously our hope for the future and we did a good job of addressing our weaknesses.

Looking at it through my purple tinted glasses I'd say it was a disappointment. Objectively, with everything going on in the program we should not have been shocked about our season.

A-

Defense started out slower than it should have, but got better.
Offense started out ok, and didn't get better and even regressed at times.

But, all in all, solid results for what we had.

With the way the season was going, definitely didn't expect to end up playing for a national title or winning the SEC title.
