From March 22, 2011 article:
"Tennessee athletic director Mike Hamilton said in a statement released late Monday that school officials decided to dismiss Pearl, who has been charged by the NCAA with unethical conduct, after learning of additional violations committed on Sept. 14, 2010, and in March 2011. In the end, the university fired Bruce Pearl for too many transgressions away from the court."

Perhaps it wasn't dozens. It's possible I misspoke in estimating a number. It was more than one. It was enough to get him fired.

Which is relevant to a discussion of Bruce Pearl because...

Hell Bruce Pearl was the reason Mile Slive was fired (as a lawyer) many years back in a NCAA investigation that was not related to any SEC teams.

Face it, you're jealous of Auburn basketball.

Brother, I can't even name a single player on Auburns basketball team. For that matter, I can't name a single player on Alabama's team. I know Pearl because he he cheated, got caught, was fired and hired again - big deal. I know Avery because of ESPN. Outside that - crickets. It is literally impossible for me to care less about either schools basketball team.

Living in Alabama, most people tell me the same thing - Auburn and Alabama fans alike. Oh, the Aubs are pumped about the good team this year, but last year, the year before, the year before - nothing.

So, laugh all you want - this is the SEC and outside a very few hard core sports fans, no one gives a damn about basketball. So again, I laugh at all you bandwagon fans.

Not really, I also remember the lack of Bama people during the latter part of the Shula era. That is no myth

Lol...we did 2 stadium expansion during those times. North end zone was done 2004-2006. South end zone was studied and designed at the end of Shula and eventually approved by BoT in early 2008.

"I don't like basketball or know anything about it.. therefore no one does."

"No one in the SEC truly cares about basketball because no one in my personal bubble does."

"My mind can't comprehend why fans of teams, are more excited/interested in their teams when they're successful and winning. Has to be bandwagon fans."

"I don't care about any Bama sports teams besides football but I laugh at you because you're all bandwagon fans."

Going to a football game has no bearing on the conversation, but appreciate you trying anyway.

Never said I was football only, though I understand how you have been brought to that conclusion. I attend gymnastic, baseball and t&f events regularly.

Your failure to see the core truth in my initial post shows the depth of your need to be offended from the simple truth of that post. Sorry Sunshine, but honestly it’s laughable how many of you “people” choose to take exception to an anonymous moniker given to you by someone of no consequence in your life. Thanks for the laugh Nancy. I’m now laughing at you too.

This, folks is exhibit A proving the mindfrick càused by that villain Tommy Tuberville and "Fear the Thumb". SI was just as complicit with the infamous "Bama is Back" edition in 2005. Bandwagoners climbing the walls of Tuberville-Denny like a scene out of World War Z, only to be slapped back down to Earth by 11 sacks... Good times.. Good times.

Gives annecdotal evidence to support a false narrative...gets actual data point to the contrary...”yeah well that has no bearing.”

Cheers!

this is the equivalent of Auburn fans making fun of a Saban being short because they have nothing to be happy about with Gus Malzahn

Pretty happy with Gus. He beat that arse last year, ur coach whined his way into the playoffs....in fact Gus has mad Saban whine like a bitch quite often....it’s not fair they play to fast...it’s dangerous we need a rule....it’s not fair the lineman are down field on pass plays, we don’t know what to do.....we need a rule....

It’s good to finally see Bama earn their way into final 4. I think I still hear whining about Tua not getting Heisman. Lucky he got hurt or you would be out of top 4 again......

Oh wait...never mind, Saban would have been able to whine some more.

Got to this thread late and saw this on page one. This is a basketball thread, but you could make replace Bama with Auburn and vice versa with a few subtle changes and it would apply to football.
