LSU is one of the teams who could win a title in a 12 team playoff scenario with an elite QB if their defense starts to play up to its talent level.
Daniels was elite. I'm not going to say that for Nuss yet. I think he'll be solid, but LSU doesn't have the talent level to win the 12-team playoff with just a solid QB.
If Nuss ends up being elite, then LSU could win the playoff. But if not they top out at making the playoff and maybe winning a first round game.

LSU should have been in the playoff last year, but our defense was so atrocious it didn’t happen.
I put that on BK and his ability to make changes during the season via coaching staff etc.,
The talent wasn’t great on defense but it wasn’t atrocious. The players quit.
If they aren’t in the playoff this year, I think you’re going to get some moans and groans out of the fanbase.

Not sure how anyone can predict a playoff appearance with all of the questions and roster changes at LSU next season. Why is this expected?

I don't think he's necessarily "great," he does have the second highest winning percentage in the SEC though.

Point being, no one thought he would beat bama in year 1, anything can happen. He's still got a good bit left in the tank, I wouldn't count him out.
