If it was so blatantly obvious that LSU and Kiffin broke some significant rule(s), the SEC wouldn't have needed to go to court to ask for permission to punish him and LSU.
Imagine your boss hates you and wants to fire you but can't find a good reason for it so he goes to a lawyer to find a reason to fire you but then he still can't come up with a reason and he simply comes back at you telling you, "you just wait and see, pal. just wait and see".
You'd laugh in his face and walk off knowing he aint got jack fricking shite on you.
