BREAKING: THE SEC HAS FINALLY DECIDED LSU’S FATE…

…apparently nobody knows what LSU’s fate is. ??
After DAYS of breathless headlines about LSU being kicked out of the SEC, lawsuits, emergency meetings, “lack of institutional control,” Lane Kiffin supposedly destroying the conference, and people acting like the Tigers were about to be escorted out of the building…
THE SEC MET YESTERDAY.
And then…
??????
NOTHING.
No expulsion.
No suspension.
No massive fine.
No Lane Kiffin ban.
No LSU kicked out.
No dramatic punishment.
Just:
“We’ll keep talking.”
THAT’S IT. ??????
So let me get this straight:
The SEC was apparently ready to THROW LSU OUT OF THE CONFERENCE…
LSU was supposedly facing an unprecedented nuclear punishment…
The lawyers were involved…
The politicians were involved…
The internet was melting down…
And after the big meeting?
“We’re going to continue discussions.”
LMAOOOO.
Meanwhile LSU went 51-10 on Clemson, climbed into the Top 10, filled its roster, and is apparently still sitting comfortably in the SEC while everybody waits for the next press release.
At this point, the SEC didn’t punish LSU.
They just gave LSU free publicity for an entire week.
And the funniest part?
LSU fans got to watch everyone predict the end of the program while LSU kept playing football.
All that drama.
All those threats.
All those “LSU IS GETTING KICKED OUT!!!” headlines.
And the grand finale was basically:
SEC: “We’ll circle back.”
??????
Somebody check on the people who spent the last week explaining why LSU was about to be homeless.

SEC: Made a rule.
Lane Kiffin: We will follow all rules.

SEC (including LSU): creates new rule
LSU: We were always going to follow the rule. But also we're leaving the two spots open because when we get the chance we're putting those guys on it
