Why is everyone suggesting that this eliminates Ohio State? The CFP has no obligation to take conference champions or only conference champions. You're kidding yourself if you think A&M will get in over Ohio State. A&M's shot is for Bama to win and for Notre Dame to beat Clemson again.

The Big Ten will absolutely change the rules. They’ll play in the title game at only 5-0.

I think it would be BS to allow in a team that has played so few games. But I think they would still get in

B1G has only themselves to blame if they are left out of the CFP. They've mishandled this at every juncture -late start, untenable Covid protocols, and no margin for error for postponed games. A true case study of a self-inflicted cluster-frick.

OSU is one of the best teams in the country

How can we know that?

Their wins are vs 2-5 Rutgers, 2-5 Penn State, 2-4 Michigan State, 2-4 Nebraska, and 6-1 Indiana.

Their big win Indiana got their record by beating the bad MSU, Rutgers, and PSU teams plus a 2-5 Michigan, 2-2 Maryland, and 2-2 Wisconsin.

Of course the committee be will bend over backwards and be all

The committee doesn't care. OSU was in even if they didn't play a down.

ESPN asked a question

Can Harbaugh avoid 0-6 record vs. Ohio State?

Well, I guess the answer is to not play

Sorry A&M vs Ohio State this weekend, right?

You know as well as I so that Ohio State want NO part of A&M!

The Big 10 will just change their rules and let Ohio State play in the championship game.

Did Harbaugh not get the memo to stop his sleepovers?

They very well may, but even if they don't, I can't see what impact this has on the playoffs. The only impact this has on the moment is keeping Ohio State from claiming the B1G title.

If tOSU doesn’t play another game, there is a decent chance the committee punishes them.

I agree. The only way I see OSU getting left out is if Bama loses a close game to UF in the SECCG, and Clemson beating ND in the ACCCG. I don't see aTm, Cincy, or anyone else knocking them out of the playoff. Hope I'm wrong, but unfortunately I don't think I will be.

Because you don't reward a 5-0 record against Nebraska (2-4), Penn State (2-5), Rutgers (2-5), Indiana (6-1), and Michigan State (2-4), with cancellations of Maryland, Illinois, and Michigan.
