I actually think this is the best thing for you guys. The further you get away from Jimbo and football the better.

Just have him sell his snake oil to recruits and let that be his only job.

He does special teams too. We been good there. Usually get blocks or return a kickoff or 2, he probably recruits harder and keeps special teams.

lots of the posters on the Rant said Petrino rejected Fisher!

lots of A&M posters on the rant said A&M didn't want him and never offered him. I don't think you want to play this game

Could be worse. Bobby knows offense.

Gonna be interesting to see how his personality meshes with Jimbo though.

What are the odds these guys end up in a fist fight on the sidelines?

Home run hire IYAM. He'll have more talent to work with than he's ever had in his career.

BIG props to Coach Fisher on this one. It takes a big man to change.

Petrino better be really good his 1st year or Jimbo gets fired. I have a suspension If Jimbo is fired then Petrino is hired as HC. Probably part of the reason he moved to A&M.I'm going to guess Petrino will be making about 3 million as OC.

That seems like throwing gasoline on a tire fire. Very Bo Pelini-esque

IDK if this will work out or not. Bobby P was amazing at Arkie but he's never quite been able to replicate that success. Talent surely won't be an issue but sometimes success is the right person at the right place at the right time. We'll see, I guess. Either way, TAMU desperately needs to try something different. Not sure Petrino is that guy but it's at least something new.

mine was not an age thing. i just do not think that he is the coach he once was. age...self-inflicted wounds....whatever, he is not one of the top offensive minds in the country as he once was.

2022 - 119/5 yards/ game rushing. and 246 yards passing per game. IMHO other coaches have done better with less.
