From the looks of it, Auburn just seems to be panicking that they made a bad horrible in Harsin and are looking for an out.
That and it seems like the leadership at AU is all over the place pulling in different directions.

The power folks probably thought it was weird as hell for Harsin to have this chick working under him and probably setup a private investigator once things started going south for the program.

It was hard to be head ball coach when all he did was sit in the visitors dugout and text ole gal all practice long.

I’m just going to say it Auburn football has gone to shite since Coach Dye assumed room temperature. Maybe we take the Arky route and bring back Hugh Nall as head coach.

I must be out of the loop. Why is Harsin in trouble? Going 6-6 in his first season does not seem like reason enough to me.

Supposedly putting his side piece on the payroll.

Auburn’s president is retiring again. A new one could be named as soon as tomorrow. How’s he going to respond to the powerbrokers pushing for change?
That won’t matter if the rumor is true. He’ll be gone with cause in that case.

Where else are you supposed to put them?

From PM:
Will Bryan Harsin be Auburn’s head football coach next week? That’s an open question as of late Thursday night.
There has been smoke coming from the Auburn administration for day. Over the last two days, it became clearer almost by the hour that Harsin was in some trouble. After Thursday’s Board of Trustees workshop leading to today’s Board of Trustees meeting, a flood of rumors began.
Off-field issues, more than Harsin's 6-7 record and five consecutive losse, apparently led to the administration taking a hard look at Harsin and his program. Almost two dozen players have left the program via the transfer portal. He has lost half of the coaching staff he hired earlier this year. He did not sign a player on national signing day. There have been accusations of verbally abusive treatment of players, coaches and support staff.
It is uncertain when a decision will be made or made public. Harsin was introduced as Auburn’s head coach on Dec. 24 of 2021
